Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

It seems that to say that my stay at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai was magnificent is just not enough! The service were second to none! From the warm welcome greetings (as soon as you get out of the car) to the daily contact with the staff (who were all friendly and accommodating),,, nothing beats this hotel. The historical significance of this hotel to India's patriotic soul along with the pride of the staff (which shows in their crisp livery and attention to service details), this is definitely the place to stay when in Mumbai. Location is just an added bonus!

The Taj is and always will be the best hotel ever. Exceptional hospitality - each and every person makes sure you are comfortable and it feels more like you are being pampered by your very close relative/friend. They took care of every single little detail, my heart was completely filled. The food was amazing and they take care of you and treat you extremely well. I’m sure there is no other hotel which offers this level of hospitality. We had an opportunity to stay at the Pandit Ravi Shankar suite, the suite was breathtakingly beautiful, literally living in art & history. I felt overwhelmed when I saw the suite it was extremely beautiful! I’m so very proud that India has Taj, and the staff here are exceptional! I thank each and every one of you who made our stay & 5th year anniversary celebration one of the best experiences ever.

What a heavenly experience at this iconic heritage hotel of Mumbai. Never to be forgotten. The best was guided tour of the hotel by Mr Percy who was so knowledgeable. He took us on a detailed round telling us of the some unknown facts of this hotel. Kudos and thank you Mr Percy. The room was epitome of luxury and I think the best were the pillows. My persistent neck pain has vanished. Would love to come back again.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Taj when we went in May. The service was rubbish. We were given a smoking room when we asked for non-smoking room. They changed the room for us but no extra bed was provided for our 2 year old son even though we had requested for one. The main restaurant service was very poor.
