I am currently staying at the Kempinski Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Munich with my family, and I am extremely disappointed with my experience. At 7:30 AM, I was abruptly woken up by loud renovation noises (drilling, hammering, dragging). I immediately called the reception to complain, and they initially assured me that they would address the issue. However, the noise continued. Ten minutes later, I called the reception again, politely stating that the noise must stop and emphasizing that a good night’s sleep is essential in a five-star hotel. I warned them that if the noise persisted, I would escalate the matter further. At 7:45 AM, they suggested changing my room, which only added to my frustration. I demanded to speak to the manager, but they redirected me to Guest Services. I firmly explained my complaint to them as well. Before my stay, I had specifically requested a quiet room, yet this request was blatantly ignored. They claimed there was no record of such noisy maintenance work. To prove my point, I walked out into the hallway in my pajamas and personally showed them the source of the noise from the floor below. It was evident that this was planned renovation work, but they hadn’t even considered starting it later, such as at 10:00 AM, to avoid disturbing guests. By 8:30 AM, my complaint had been completely disregarded, and the renovation noises were still ongoing. My sleep was ruined, and the lack of concern or action from the staff is unbelievable. As of now, I am still in Room 406, and despite my repeated complaints, they have not stopped the renovation work. Shockingly, I have not even received an apology. I cannot believe how much the Kempinski Munich hospitality and service standards have deteriorated. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Kempinski Munich is a great hotel with a great location. I booked through Amex and received the complimentary breakfast. No upgrades until the following day. The fist room was a Standard Grand room. The room was totally upgraded with newer bathroom with one sink. The bed was comfortable, there was a wine bar / fridge but no view except of the building right across. The second upgraded room was much bigger and 2 sinks in the bathroom. Had not been updated yet. The room faced the front of the hotel which had a better view. However, be aware of the slight sound of the trams going throughout the night some vibrating in the room but not bad. Breakfast is fantastic. The service at the hotel is outstanding. Alex the front desk manager is great. Valet service for your car is very good. I would stay here again if back in Munich.

Good: The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski München, located on Maximilianstrasse, is centrally located and an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, Christmas markets, and beer halls. Service is outstanding. Beautifully decorated lobby. Bad: Not a 5 star hotel - rooms are extremely small even for European standards. Bedding was more 3-star level. Bar is nice but small and terrible service. Lobby has a lobby bar and limited food service but it's too small and on weekend evenings taken over by primarily non-guests. Frustrating as a guest that you are told they can't reserve seating only at night to see areas with reserved signage. Ugly The pop-up gondola bar & restaurant at the hotel entrance made it almost impossible to enter or leave the hotel. The hotel doesn't advertise it to potential guests nor are guests given special preference to booking time slots - check out the Ritz Vienna's website. The hotel is not ADA friendly so if you are handicapped stay away.

5 star prices, but not 5 star quality! Staff are excellent, & they make the hotel feel like a true 5 star However, the hotel falls short of 5 star standards We had to ask for extra toiletries , & pillows Bathrobes were hard & threadbare! Room size was on the small side, with no view Expensive for what we got Not to the standard we had expected for a Kempinski Hotel

Impressive entrance and lobby, quick and efficient check in while we enjoyed a glass of prosecco. Nice room, kempinski beds are the best. Breakfast was nice and Luca looked after us very well. However..... Not the best kempinski I've stayed in.
