Great hotel, we’ve been staying here for many years and love to return. The infinity pool and spa are great. There is a great selection of restaurants to eat in. We were upgraded on our most recent visit which was a very welcome surprise. Staff go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable.

We only went to the hotel for brunch. They offer a full buffet breakfast service to non-staying guests for €30 ahead - we were there out of season. We were staying locally in a villa, but decided we would try this. As we arrived in the dining hall, a head waitress greeted us and welcomed us in. She gave us a tour of the various food and drink options, then showed us to a table - we were 4. She then served us with glasses of Champagne, to kick the meal off! We had the most incredible breakfast - fresh fruit, cooked breakfast, cheese, artisan breads, croissants, and finally banana bread, muffins, etc, washed down with several cups of coffee, and more Champagne ! Everything was fresh, hot (or cold) and very well presented. The staff were incredible, very attentive and if you needed something, you received it very quickly. Finally, when we had finished (around 11 am) we asked if they would mind if we could sit on their terrace to take the sun, to which they agreed, and even topped up our glasses of Champagne. I would highly recommend this offer if you are ever staying in Cartagena. My only regret was that I wasn’t staying at the hotel for a week to experience it every day ! I’ll definitely be checking out the Gran Hyatt hotel group on my next travels.

My husband and I booked a suite last minute online. A few hours later one of the hotel directors called to say there had been a system error and they had no suites, and couldn’t work out how we had been able to book online. A really bad start. However, we were greeted by the director on arrival who gave us two adjoining bedrooms with complimentary drinks and fruit. The hotel staff then checked in daily to see that we were happy and comfortable and when my husband complained about the lack of view, they immediately changed our rooms. A lovely hotel with genuinely good and friendly staff. Most 5 star hotels could seriously take some lessons from this hotel.

We arrived at the hotel last night after a tiring flight to Alicante from the UK. Once again, we were greeted by superb staff who did everything possible to make us feel supported and welcome. Wherever we go, we always return to the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club for peerless service, beautiful rooms, fantastic facilities and gastronomic perfection. Thank you again.

This hotel is absolutely unique in that it has probably the most sincere and caring staff of any hotel we have ever been They are at all times anticipating your needs and go that extra mile each time - I find it hard to describe but the staff make this hotel and it runs very smoothly with excellent service at all times and fantastic food - I really cannot fault it at all As regards its position - it is in a very pretty area and the hotel is surrounded by the golf course and in the distance some hills - nearby is Cartagena which is a very historic and beautiful town On this occasion we did not visit the spa but in the past we were very impressed Angel is the Gen manager and is always visible and he clearly pays attention to detail and the staff quite obviously respect him which is always difficult when most of the staff have been there for over 20 yrs and a lot are interrelated in some way - it seems to work very well As for the Front Desk Mercedes has always been my contact and she is just wonderful and will organise anything - also David who is simply charming and is always around to help There are many more but particularly the local historian and singer Juan and of course Vanessa The Director of rooms was also very kind and very visible and took the time to come and see us Breakfast is a feast and all the food is fresh and of excellent quality and the staff in the mornings led by Catalina, who is exceptional in her kindness , are excellent and work so very hard - particular thanks to Maria who anticipated our every need and of course our old friend Diego who seems to be everywhere - also Esther who was lovely and Paloma and of course Juan who helped Catalina - nothing was too much trouble for any of them On that note we should also give a huge thank you to Pedro - the F&B manager who runs an amazing team but is again always visible and will do anything to make your stay memorable and he truly cares about the guests - thanks also to his lovely wife Ana who works in the club lounge and at breakfast The club lounge is basically where the Asian restaurant is and so the lounge is only open until 6.30 so that the restaurant can be set up The food in the lounge included some lovely sandwiches and cakes during the day and tapas from 4.30 to 6.30 - the food is excellent again and during our stay was mainly run by the lovely Rosa who tried to teach me Spanish and had quite set ideas as to where I should sit - I got to really like her and she is very kind While we were there we eat in Don Luigi’s the Italian Restaurant and again the food was amazing and they were also very flexible to our needs - the staff were also amazing headed by Juan and Antonio and Juans brother Jose - could not be a nicer trio - we felt very special and so a huge thank you to you all I must of course never forget Pedros 2nd in command Antonio who is such a special person and again so caring - just amazing guy and of course Mark who was charming and again so very helpful and took many of our requests and never said no and always came up trumps Although we did not eat in Asia it looked very pretty and Sergio as always kept a smile for us While we were there I invited my nephew and his wife for a night and again they were treated as VIPs and they were so very touched by everything that they did not want to leave Quite frankly I am so impressed with everything and really cannot fault anything and we will be back
