On the picturesque west side of the island of Mykonos, surrounded by the blue Mediterranean Sea, is the luxurious Cavo Tagoo. Near Chora, or Mykonos Town, this stunning hotel is built into the side of a cliff and, with its elegance, will take your breath away. With a minimalist Cycladic design each room is almost futuristic in style and glows with pure whites all around, accented by vibrant splashes of color. The open layout gives each room a comfortable, tranquil feel and large doors lead out to your private balcony and view of the sea. Imagine relaxing on your balcony, a refreshing cocktail in hand, as the sun sets romantically over the islands of Greece. At Cavo Tagoo the simple elegance of your room, and the surrounding natural beauty will truly relax your being.

I visited Cavo Tagoo in July, and it was the perfect time to experience both Greece and this stunning property. The resort is clean, sophisticated, and undeniably posh. The sunset views from here are absolutely breathtaking—definitely the best in Mykonos. The staff and service were exceptional, making my stay truly memorable. The attention to cleanliness and detail throughout the property stood out. While it is a bit on the expensive side, it’s worth it given Mykonos’ premium vibe and this resort’s outstanding offerings. Highly recommended for a luxurious and unforgettable stay! P.S: It doesn’t have a private beach so if you’re visitng Mykonos for the beaches, might explore other options.

I don’t understand why so many negative reviews about the hotel, I am so glad I didn’t pay attention to these and still booked it. First off we booked a Jr Suite with a private pool and the room and view were absolutely beautiful. We were there 4 nights for our 20th wedding anniversary trip and from the minute we got there we felt welcome and pampered, their staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Once we settled in they brought us a bottle of champagne on ice and fruit as a surprise which was lovely. We then had dinner at their restaurant and although it’s pricey the food was absolutely delish. The hotel is gorgeous and of course their pool area and daybeds are everything. People wrote on other reviews that the daybeds were always taken and that the sunset view was blocked by girls and influencers taking pics, but we didn’t experience any of that. There were plenty of daybeds available every morning and we didn’t think the area was overcrowded at all, maybe because it was end of September. Their Bar area is also wonderful and the vibe is very enjoyable with music all day. Their breakfast is amazing and it’s included once you book. Another plus is that it’s walking distance to the village and that was also something we liked very much. Lastly, I read another review about the hotel being on a main road and the noise, and quite honestly there’s barely any noise and yes it is a busy road outside but it’s not a big deal, we even walked it a couple of times. My only regret is not spending more time at the hotel and enjoying our room and pool more since we also wanted to explore, but that’s something that I will do next time we’re there. I recommend everyone to go to Cavo Tagoo at least once because it is a beautiful experience, even tour guides tell you that it is one of the best if not the best hotel in Mykonos. I don’t do reviews often, but I had to do this one because they deserve to be praised. Don’t listen to others too much, instead make your own opinion as everyone is different and have their own perception, I tell ya…you will be in for a beautiful surprise.

Cavo Tagoo has a beautiful view and the room was nice and spacious, but unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The tone was off from the very beginning, no real greeting, no welcome drinks, and the girl who showed us to our room after check in couldn’t have been less engaged and was clearly bothered to have to do this job at all, explaining virtually nothing about the property or our room. So much so that I never figured out the elevators to get back down (they would only go up) to the lobby, so ended up using the stairs every time during our stay. We frequently stay 5-star hotels, and from the very beginning, my wife and I questioned that designation here. This hotel seems to only exist for the influencer community and not for any real luxury experience. The room was nice, with good water pressure and ample hot water. However, the bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable, and many things were in need of replacement and grungy - especially the cigarette burns on our patio lounger, and the weird stains on our sofa. The gym was old, which isn’t a deal-breaker, but all the equipment was gross and grimy, the treadmills looking like they’re never cleaned. The staff is some combination of woefully under-trained and completely apathetic. Most were rude or dismissive and very overt about asking for tips, ensuring to note that cash is preferred over room charge. They are typically too engaged in their phones or conversations with each other to even register your presence The food and drinks are decent, but outrageously overpriced for the quality. No complimentary water can be found on the property, except for the gym (go refill there). Room service carries a fee which isn’t unexpected, but they sneakily inflate all the regular menu prices on top of that fee. The hotel likes to post lots of drone footage of the property on social media, so be prepared to deal with the noise of a drone and feeling like you’re being spied on/filmed without your consent at any given point during the day. I had to pack up and move inside my room because I got tired of waiting for it to go away. We stayed at a couple other properties while in Greece and had an amazing experience with top-notch friendly, attentive staff, welcome drinks/gifts, and even a parting gift from our place in Santorini. I can’t say enough about how different our experience was here at Cavo compared to everywhere else. I ended up not tipping the front desk at checkout because why would I? Whether unrelated or not, we passed three bellhops on our way to the car who couldn’t even be bothered to look up from their phones to help with bags. I cannot recommend this place any less, especially for the prices it charges.

Cavo Tagoo offers a luxurious retreat with stunning views and impeccable service. The stylish rooms and stunning infinity pool make for a memorable experience. The on-site restaurant and attentive staff add to the overall excellence. Highly recommended for a top-notch stay.

ooked a bed on the front for unset for 2 people €400 minimum spend. Shown to bed, waiter service was very slow, had to wait 15/20mins before the waiter would see that we wanted to order drinks and then we had to get a cocktail menu and wait again every time we wanted to order. Waiter said we could not keep the menu. People swimming in the pool. Buses driving past the pool every 5 minutes spoiling the sun set view. There is a main road that runs in front of the hotel, with the port infront of that. Cruise ships spoil the suset view. The quality of the food was very good, high end and really nice. Place looks stunning!! Entertainment - A lady singing chart songs and guests joining in on her microphone. Who could not sing! Felt like we were at butlins cabaret show with a singer from a cruise ship. Not much of a vibe going on for a Friday night, we left at 10pm as we got bored of the cabaret like singer. Place was very quiet for a friday night.
