A modern hilltop acropolis, Amanzoe is a peaceful retreat from which to explore nature and coastal pleasures along with the ancient heritage of the Peloponnese. Surrounded by undulating olive groves and overlooking the turquoise Aegean Sea, is a ten-minute drive from the tavernas and the cosmopolitan stirrings of Porto Heli. The isles of Spetses and Hydra are nearby, as are countless ancient ruins, from millennia-old amphitheatres to Byzantine monasteries.

Still a very true Aman after all these years and possibly the best among them all! The service is in the leagues of Amanoi and the Indonesian properties, but the hard product is just out of this world! Food choices are a bit limited but everything is delicious, even their kid’s meal. They also will accommodate any and all food requests to the best of their capabilities. If you are using this as a base to do your sightseeing, make sure to save a minimum of 3 days just to enjoy the property itself. The room is so beautiful, that you will never want to leave it. They are also great with kids! My advice is stay as long as you can afford!

It’s an incredible resort. It’s stunning and not a dollar was spared on it. Luxurious, quiet and exquisite. All stone and wood and marble and luxury. Large suites gorgeous views and excellent services. The lovely Greek employees were so attentive and sweet and respectful. In particular Aris at the bar service and Yannis and also Alexandra at the pool restaurant and Ana at the spa. She was a phenomenal therapist and I had two facials with her. George at front desk Thank You for your incredible hospitality ! The only issue I found at Amanzoe is the food. Generally ok or good but nothing special. Limited menus and the dishes are just not that good. I’ve had so much better in other resorts. The Japanese menu is a total failure. The rolls seem to have been made by someone still learning to do it and no steak on the Japanese menu ??? Really? Also lunch at the pool restaurant no fish ! Imagine that. The waitress had to go get me a room service menu to order from. I asked for a seafood pizza at the beach club. The waiter was quote surprised by my request as it was not on the menu. So the chef made me this Lizette with about two shrimps and 5 pieces of calamari. It’s bad ! I’m sorry but aman needs to do something about the food at Amanzoe. I see others complaining about it too and now I know it is in fact a problem. I want to go back for a second visit but I want to know the Food at Amazon has been improved. It needs to be wow and it simply is not….i want to mention breakfast I can say was excellent but the rest needs serious improvement Otherwise I loved the property !

My husband and I stayed at Amanzoe for our 35th wedding anniversary and it was the most incredible visit! The classic Greek architecture is beyond stunning as well as the grounds studded with fabulous elaborate olive and beautiful cypress trees. We stayed in a deluxe pool pavilion sea view which was luxurious and expansive inside and out as well as laid out in such a thoughtful way.. loved the 2 bathrooms with huge double closet area connected by a fantastic, shared double shower with outdoor view ceiling. Oh and the room was spotless! Everything was perfect.. the amazing staff including Jordan, the daily manager, the lovely office staff and everyone in the dining venues couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. Food was delicious whether is was by the pool, in the bar or the main dining area with it's gorgeous view. We has an unforgettable private dinner by the property's amphitheater hosted by Dimitra who was a delightful server and converasionalist with deep knowledge about the property and the area. We also did a not-to-be missed day trip coordinated by Amanzoe to the ancient sites Mycenae and Epidaurus with an arranged guide as well as the charming town of Nafplio. Our driver, Nicos, was wonderful. Such a romantic and magical week! Can't wait to go back!

The AmanZo’e team was quick to adapt to my change of arrival time and the luxury taxi service was superb, professional and safe. The roads to the hotel from ATH airport (2.5 hr) are windy and it’s important to have someone who knows the road very well to take you. I stayed 3 nights with two friends and had a lovely quiet time — we mostly spent time in our pavilion which I thought was the true highlight of the experience. The pavilion offered beautiful, unique views, and really the ultimate privacy. As a designer, I paid attention to the space and details and thought the overall pavilion designs were really thoughtful, truly unique and fantastic. In between the property pool and the beach club, I would recommend the beach club for a fuller staff, a better vibe, a funner time. All the paddle boarding and kayaking equipments are complementary for the hotel guests. Aman says it’s a 15 minute bike ride from the hotel to the beach club, but it probably is more like a 30 minute intense bike ride with hills up and down and fast cars. I would suggest take the hotel car Service. As three younger guests and Aman fans, we were surprised to see how many families with young children there were at the property. I can see why it’s a good family vacation spot — AmanZo’e is really quiet, private (The younger guests can also go into town easily for a local hustle and bustle scene). Comparing to our other Aman experiences, the general AmanZoe staff felt more remote and less personal — I’m unsure if this is a cultural thing! But of course there are a few staff who were so sweet and lovely and chatty and we, as younger guests, naturally gravitated towards. I would say my least favorite part was the food — i mean Aman is really not known for its food in general so we weren’t expecting much but it was a little worse than we had hoped for…the pricing was very high and the salt level was very high in almost everything. As an alternative, we went into town and had fresh fish and confirmed that saltiness is not necessarily a Greek thing! Overall , stunning place and best time to enjoy the property is sunrise and sunset!

Overall this property’s service and communication do not live up to the Aman standard. We are disappointed in our stay. We had dozens of ants in our room for two out of the three nights of our stay. The hotel disinfected and cleaned them, and Ernst, the General Manager, spoke with us at breakfast between the first and second nights that we had ants. However what they did was not permanent and was not a good experience. Also, the first time they sprayed for the ants we waited and assumed no one was coming to clean them. We proceeded to shower and clean the floor ourselves, and then heard someone at the door. The coordination of staff and communication of what to expect was poor. Separately, we had very little personal greetings within the resort, as is common at other Aman properties. Our preferences weee not remembered either - we had specified that we were traveling for a baby moon. We received alcohol as a welcome drink (obviously my wife cannot drink!) Also when asking for sake, we were recommended a bottle and had two glasses given to us. At breakfast my wife was also served poached eggs (the menu and waitress did not specify that the eggs were poached). There were also a number of communication issues: 1) we asked for a golf cart to pick us up from our room on three separate occasions only to not have it arrive, we had to go to the front desk each time; 2) We had asked for laundry pick up, but they sent a golf cart to pick US up, not our laundry; 3) Based on pre departure email we expected checkout to be completed at our pavilion and a golf cart to pick us and our luggage up at the specified time. None of this occurred and we had to call the front desk for luggage pickup and to complete checkout at the front desk. On a more minor note, the bedside wireless telephone never worked. I called maintenance about it and was told they would come and look, but it did not appear as if anything was ever done. We communicated the above challenges throughout our stay and received an apology, but that was all. For the amount of money we spent at the resort, we expected a better experience and some gesture of appreciation for all of the issues that we experienced. The resort is on a beautiful property and has a nice beach, but the service and communication failures were extremely disappointing and do not meet the standards of Aman.
