Reviews for Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club

My stay at Fairmont Norfolk

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

It was absolutely amazing. The ambience was to die for. If you love nature, definitely go. And the fact that they incorporated little things like dog walks ? Ah! I would definitely recommend. 10/10. The staff were incredibly amazing. But I must go back to the view. Every morning I’d wake up with a smile. I stayed at the deluxe cottages. No words. Absolutely breathtaking.

Glorified Bed and No BREAKFAST

I paid for all inclusive trip, upon arrival, I don't think they paid any attention to my age and health. I was given a room on the 3rd floor! I had to climb steep stairs, no lift! I asked for a chicken sandwich on its own and was served with chicken and red meat! When questioned, I was treated like an idiot and was told that it was not RED MEAT but TOMATOES!! The general manager is totally oblivious of what is going on. I would not recommend this place at all. They are far from hospitable. Hospitality is non existent!

Home away from home

Food and accommodation was excellent. Conservation of wildlife a good idea. The hotel can be further promoted to be a hide out for local conferences and business strategic meetings. I was happy to see how you are taking care of injured wildlife and giving them hope to live. Your collaboration with KWS and the local community through CSR is worthy and God will bless you abundantly.

Amazing hospitality, great rooms, beautiful surroundings and an amazing location

Jambo! The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club confirmed my opinion that the African people are the most welcoming and friendliest that I've ever met in all of my travels. Their constant smiles and friendly greetings at all times of the day were contagious. The rooms were delightful and included a working fireplace that the hotel stacked and set ablaze for us every evening at turn-down. The food was delicious and overwhelming in both variety and quantity. The staffers that served it were so enthusiastic that we almost felt guilty when we didn't have room to try everything. Be sure to take a walk around the grounds and check out the your surroundings. We recommend taking a guided eBike dirt road tour for a unique view of things. Some bicycle competence is necessary as the roads are not smooth. They supply a bottle of water for the hour-long trip and a box lunch for the 3-hour version. Wear your sunblock! Our guide was caring, competent, and personable. The lodge's location is ideal for game drives to see the larger and more dangerous wildlife via the safari trucks that probably brought you here. We saw a lioness chase a cheetah - not your everyday sight, even here in the Serengeti. Amazing! All in all, a fantastic place to stay to see a fantastic country, all hosted by the friendliest people on the planet. You heard it from me!
