This hotel has probably some of the most incompetent front desk employees I've ever met. Checked in 2/21 and my room was against a concrete wall. I asked then if they could move me one room over- said no problem, then made me wait 2 hours for a new room while having to "vacate" the existing room only to come back and they said oops we don't have a different room, but I can stick you in a downgraded room facing the parking lot if you want (with a smirk) The big lady manager was useless and said it's not her problem that's what was assigned and ended it. I'm sorry, but for 400 a night all I should hear is "I'm so sorry let me see what I can do". Completely incompetent- no wonder she was covered in piercings and tattoos- I swear I must have been speaking Chinese.

Customer Service is excellent👍made us very comfortable, personnel went out of their ways to care for our needs @ Meritage (Judy@Commons), Julio & Carolina at Ember Steak House...made our stay simply UNforgetable 🥰we highly recommend Meritage & we'll be back ❤️

Great Place to Celebrate any Special Occasion

I have been to this location multiple times and this was by far the best experience I’ve had! It was my birthday and Dannie, the food and beverage manager, knew me by name and made my kids and my stay exceptional. We had a great time bowling in the food at the Ember steakhouse was so delicious.

Our experience was check-in to check-out was great. This resort is part of the Amex Fine Hotels Collection, and they honored the program’s amenities to the fullest extent. Pedro at the front desk went above & beyond to upgrade our friends as well as extend our check-out time. The rooms were spacious and had abundant drinking water and a coffee machine, among other conveniences. All our meals were at Olive & Hay or the living room bar, and their F&B staff were outstanding: Alma, David, Carlos, Christina (manager), and Aman (our host). The restaurant had enough vegetarian options for all meals, service was fast, and everyone acted like a team to ensure our glasses were always full of water, coffee, or wine.

Bad Experience

Unfriendly staff, terrible service at Crush lounge, I asked for a lower level room because we brought our dog and the gave us a room on the 3rd floor. Had a birthday upgrade of cupcakes and sparkling wine and it was delivered the day before the birthday. We had ants in our room and no hot water. Will not be back and i don't recommend this property. Definitely not worth the price and is not a 5 star resort.
