Reviews for Stanly Ranch, Auberge Resorts Collection

Must experience it!

Phenomenal resort in a beautiful setting. The staff is truly amazing and all of the food was spectacular. It is a very relaxed and calming environment. Their meetings and events team took great care of our group. Each lodge is private with a lovely heated floor in the bathroom. Beds were very comfortable and received lovely touches with their turndown service.

Unbelievable time!!

My husband, daughter and I just stayed 3 days at Stanly Ranch and we are still reminiscing about our incredible time! We were welcomed by ranch hands who made us feel immediately welcome. Josh was so helpful during the check in process. He continued to call us by name throughout our entire stay whenever we would see him around property! The staff at check in were also fantastic and gracious after a long day of travel. They were all so kind! They gave our toddler coloring sheets and made us feel right at home. The manager, Marcello, personally greeted us.Josh escorted to our room given a very overview of all the amenities of our beautiful room. I cannot say enough how wonderful the room was. It was tranquil, private, clean and all the beautiful touches. The weather was absolutely stunning and we got to enjoy the beautiful patio with fire pit. We enjoyed one dinner and our daily breakfasts at Bear. Incredible service and food! The spa is one of the best I have visited. Again all the employees called me by name! We have been to Napa many times but never stayed at a resort quite like Stanley Ranch before. We spent WAY more time on the property than we had imagined because we truly didn’t feel the need to leave. We could have spent our entire time at the hotel and been perfectly happy! We can’t wait to come back. This hotel has made us love Napa Valley even more than we had!

Stanly Ranch need more nature

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I was very interested to see what Stanly Ranch would be like after having stayed at many other Auberge resorts. All in all I think it is a nice place and I enjoyed our dinner at the Bear restaurant very much. There are a few issues that management really has no control over. The location of the resort was not a good choice. The traffic noise when you are outside on the patio is very loud. The outlook from most rooms is not attractive and the patios are often angled so that you look right out onto the walkways. I almost killed myself coming home after dinner as it’s very, very dark on the pathways and has inadequate lighting. The light on the under part of the stair down to my room was not functioning so I didn’t notice the stair and I tripped. Granted, a younger person would probably not notice this, but this resort is not great for older people. It’s a long walk to most things if you have one of the cottages that are far out. The trouble is these cottages have the best know quiet I found the staff to be very welcoming and polite. The greeting on arrival was very friendly and the check-in was easy. I think the people that work here are happy to be here and they have been well trained. As I say, I think that the resort is built in an area that it’s not conducive to a luxury resort as there isn’t enough nature around it to make one have the feeling of relaxation and beauty. It’s also quite far from the towns of St. Helena and Calistoga, which are the towns that are fun to visit when one comes to the Napa Valley.

Great stay

Super relaxing getaway, the staff is super friendly, the gym has everything you need to get a good workout, a great place to take a break from stress of everyday life and just reconnect with loved ones or just by yourself. Very scenic around the property

Disappointing first experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Expected a higher level of hospitality and it was clear the hotel was dealing with a lack of upper management presence. Our room had a number of technical issues and we were never offered an upgrade. The concierge also told us before arrival that there was a complimentary house car available, but when we checked in, they informed us the house car wasn't available. We kept inquiring about during our stay and got inconsistent responses on the availability only to find out the driver was unavailable the whole week. While the property was beautiful and food/service at The Bear was exceptional, the issues with our room and overall lack of hospitality from the front desk/management will have us thinking twice before staying at another Auberge property.
