Reviews for Edgewater Beach Hotel

Five Star Service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had the pleasure of meeting Jeremy, the valet at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Naples, and he truly made our stay even more enjoyable. From the moment we pulled up, Jeremy greeted us with a big smile and a great sense of humor that instantly put us at ease. He was not only incredibly friendly, but also extremely helpful—always ready with local recommendations, a quick joke, and seamless service. It’s rare to find someone who can brighten your day in just a few moments, but Jeremy does exactly that. He’s a fantastic ambassador for the resort, and we can’t thank him enough for his hospitality!

A hotel that is slipping very quickly.

Was a great hotel 15 years ago. It is now a very scruffy poorly maintained hotel. The photos of the beach and beach furniture is a staged photo. In actual fact the beach furniture is an assortment of old tired very dirty furniture most of which should be in a dumpster. Apparently there are issues with Company that manages the beach. Stayed in a beach front room at $1400 per night with the worst bathroom I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. They change the bed linen every three days!!. Went to reception/conciege and asked for a taxi and was told ‘we don’t order taxis’ Bedroom was made up at 2.30 in the afternoon. Apparently recently changed their laundry supplier. Now hard to get a clean towel to put on beach beds. Opal is milking the hotel with presumably a long term plan to demolish and build condos. Fine but tell potential guests that you are not incurring cap exp. Such a pity because it is not the fault of the staff who are doing their best and it used to be a lovely hotel. Maybe a 3 star hotel but only maybe!! Won’t be back.

Great location on Naples Beach

The Edgewater Beach Hotel is a perfect place to visit in Naples, Florida. We have been a few times and have not visited for over 7 years and it’s still a great place to visit. They have refurbed many of the rooms and you have many choices of room types. They have the main tower and the two side accommodations each side of the pool. We splashed out this time and went for a Beachfront Room and it was worth it. The rooms have everything you need and the suites have the lounge space and large kitchen area. The amenities are great, they have a small gymn that wasn’t busy and a good restaurant. The best is the poolside bar where they serve nice cocktails and food. The beach is great. You get two sunbeds included with the room but if you want an umbrella or cabana you have to pay extra. The umbrella was $35 and the cabana was $350 which I feel is a bit excessive. The hotel, like many had become more and more expensive over the years and when we first visited about 20 years ago it seemed better value but now it’s a lot more expensive. There is a lot of building in the area and my overall feeling now is that Naples has lost that lovely charm it had when we first went. It now feels like all the building and big houses have put this out of the reach of most people. If you want a treat then The Edgewater won’t disappoint.

Fabulous holiday hotel

We spent a week at this hotel, it is nicely placed on the beach in Naples. The suite rooms are well appointed with everything you might need for your stay, including microwave, and full size fridge. A coffee machine and coolers were provided. Although the rooms do not have washing machines or driers in them there is a dedicated area where you can wash and dry your items if you need to. The hotel will also provided the washing powder The staff at the hotel were very polite, friendly and helpful, especially with setting up for the beach and pool area. The restaurant breakfast were good and the meal we ate in the restaurant one evening was nicer than some we had, had on 5th avenue and 3rd street. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back when in this part of Florida. I will certainly
