We had an amazing stay at the Edgewater. Everything about our visit was outstanding. Beautiful room, gorgeous beach and pool, and most of all an amazing staff. From the front desk staff to the teams at the beach and pool (CJ, Alan and Trevor)…housekeeping to shuttle drivers (Kevin and Vlad) …I’m not exaggerating when I say every person we encountered was friendly, helpful and engaging. Cannot wait to go back!

I have contacted the hotel 3 times to complain (including during my stay) and unfortunately no one has replied to me. I was told a manager would call me the day I checked out (as they didn’t start until later that day) and nearly a week later, they still haven’t called me. Firstly, the view from our room was stunning and we’ve loved the beach front location. We paid extra to get this view and it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately, that’s the only positive I have to share. One night we were trying to get our 2 year old to sleep but there was loud music right outside our balcony and people cheering and chanting. Turns out the hotel had organised a wedding on the beach, making it feel like we were in a nightclub for the night. Even if we didn’t have a 2 year old, having a party outside your room is not what you expect when you pay a significant premium for a beachfront room. You expect to be able to sit on your balcony and hear the waves, not people constantly jeering and the beat of loud music. Our balcony was completely out of bounds for the whole evening (otherwise we’d be peering down onto the wedding guest party, who were right underneath!). I understand the hotel takes on event bookings however, I think it’s important to let guests know if there’s going to be disruption to their experience, then we can make an informed decision about where we stay. For instance, they could have offered to move us rooms for the night in advance of that day. We also felt the overall service at the hotel was lacking. For example, I had to call up three times to get dishwasher powder to use the dishwasher. It was hours between each phone call. The third time, I finally got what I asked for. The service in the restaurant can only be described as grumpy and abrupt. There were several occasions when I called the front desk and no one picked up. There was no offer of towels at the pool or beach either (we got this on day one but today the service was non existent). The kitchen is lacking in equipment - one poor knife, no scissors and inadequate pans. Definitely designed for snacks rather than meals. There was loud jet washing going on at the pool which really impeded on our enjoyment of the area (they were actually jet washing paint off the building at one point). I was told at checkout not to sign for any charges until a manager had called me and the issues had been resolved. No one has called and I’ve since been charged but no idea what for! Overall very poor.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and comfy beds. Beach had fun views of dolphins and jumping fish. Food at pool bar and morning breakfast was good. Beach service for cocktails and lunch was a nice luxury. As this was a lazy vacation that was very welcome. Only issue was wedding which shut down pool and pool bar early on a Saturday with no notice, just kind of had to figure it out as we saw set up occurring.

We chose Edgewater Beach at the last minute as our favourite Opal resort at Lido Beach was much closer to the damage from hurricanes Helene and Milton, closing many local restaurants. We were delighted with our choice as the staff had cleared up any hurricane damage and got all facilities operating as normal. The suites were excellent, spacious with a separate lounge and Opal’s usual great beds, pillows and bathroom facilities. The hotel operates a shuttle service to downtown Naples, where the great driver, Kevin, has good tips on the many excellent restaurants, specialising in very fresh local seafood. All staff, from reception to housekeeping were very warm and helpful, but a special shout out to the Tiki bar staff, Greg and Cory, and the Coast restaurant and bar staff. We liked Edgewater Beach Resort so much we planned a 2025 vacation.

This resort is top class and is comparable to any five star hotel, expensive but value for money. Situated directly on a great beach with ample loungers and umbrellas for rent or free beds round the pool area, directly overlooking the beach. Free shuttle on demand for transportation to down town. Units are large modern well fitted, walk in showers and kitchen facilities, always sufficient profession staff on duty to satisfy you every need. Could not find fault or criticise any part of the stay.
