Harold Brown was great. He was very quick to respond and got our dryer working in just a few moments. He was kind, courtesy and professional. He even helped get us extra towels from housekeeping. I wouldn't hesitate to call Harold back for service again!

I’m writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience at the Grand Hyatt during what was meant to be a celebratory 25th anniversary trip. Unfortunately, this stay was marred by a series of unacceptable issues that tarnished not only my vacation but my trust in this brand. Billing Nightmare Despite my hotel bill showing a 0.00 BSD balance (attached), the front desk inexplicably charged my credit card one day prior to departure without any notice or reason. The funds have still not been returned, and my bank is now investigating. The hotel director apologized, calling it an "accidental move" by the front desk, but this excuse doesn’t erase the stress caused. If I hadn’t checked my statement, I wouldn’t have known. This unauthorized action could have left my family in a financial bind—especially considering the $2,000+ hold that was already placed. Room Issues The room experience was even worse. First Room: It was filthy—stains all over, a fresh spill covering the safe cabinet, a non-functional safe, and a remote control without batteries. Second Room: Appallingly, this room had blood stains on the bed sheets. The discovery left my spouse psychologically disturbed and eager to leave the hotel entirely. The hotel’s attempt to downplay the situation only made it worse, especially when their own staff expressed visible discomfort. Moving between rooms disrupted two days of our four-day stay. Restaurant Hygiene Concerns The incompetence extended to basic hygiene practices: Bartenders placing uncovered straws directly into glasses, holding them where customers’ mouths would go. Lime wedges handled with bare fingers instead of stainless steel tongs. Cutlery touched by staff and handed to guests rather than left wrapped in napkins. These simple, standard practices were consistently ignored, creating a subpar and unsettling dining experience. Psychological and Emotional Toll This was supposed to be a special anniversary trip, but instead, it became an ordeal. The blood-stained sheets and poor handling of the situation psychologically impacted my spouse, and I had to work hard to convince her to stay and salvage the rest of the trip. The stress, disappointment, and wasted time were overwhelming. Attempt at Compensation The hotel did offer some credits, but they feel like an inadequate bandage over a gaping wound. After all, no credit can undo the emotional toll and tarnished memories of what should have been a joyous occasion. Conclusion This experience exposed an unacceptable lack of standards, hygiene, and respect for guests. The apology from the director, while appreciated, doesn’t change the fact that my trust in Grand Hyatt is irreparably damaged. If you value your peace of mind, cleanliness, and professionalism, I strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Very average place. For only 7 years old, starting to show signs of wear very early. Kids really enjoyed the pools and the water park. Food better than expected (we are from NY city area) - had a good meal at the Sushi spot and the rest were mediocre. Def not worth the price tag but that is as expected. Real miss here comes from the service. Absolutely awful all around. Wait forever at the pool for a drink. No thought into needing silverware w an order. Every restaurant you walk into seems confused at the front counter. People lined up to wait despite no place being full. Had one real negative incident at a happy hour - apparently when you are handed a menu with happy hour prices, you have to ask for the happy hour pour. Been to a lot of bars in my life and never heard of this one. I was even asked at checkout how the stay was, told them my issues and got a really incoherent response. Summarized how bad the service was - they don’t even know how to respond or pacify a moderately unhappy customer. Kids had fun but we wouldn’t be back.

Baha Mar was the perfect place to celebrate my brother’s bachelor party. I specifically want to thank the staff onsite as they allowed us to have the best experience possible. Daniel, Perez, and Jamaal have been looking after my family for years-and it’s one of the reasons we always choose to come back. They’re dedicated individuals who strive to ensure every moment you or your family spend on resort property is memorable and special. All three are attentive, caring, and responsive. It’s because of individuals like them that I will continue to frequent Bahamar for everything from birthdays to Super Bowls. If you plan on spending any amount of time in Baha Mar- I hope you’re lucky enough to be accompanied by these three gentlemen.

We Love this Place. It has alot of amenities and clean. But food and drinks are very expensive. Unfortunately customer service is horrible. Been here more than once because we like it but not sure we will be coming back because of the service of the hosts and management, which is sad. A place like this should have no hiccups. Very poor communication when booking through the casino and trying to get a resolution is close to impossible. And all they fo is say Sorry. Not Good Enough.
