The Oberoi, New Delhi

The Oberoi took good care of me during my work trip. I had terrible stomach flu and each staff member went out of their way to help me. Chef Eeshan called me in advance of each meal to ask what I wanted to eat. Diksha was attentive with me at the front desk and helped to carry my things. Mr Abhishek Panshikar left me a nice note in my room, apologizing for the sewage smell in my first room (I was since upgraded). Kampala left me lovely gifts and a sweet note in my room. She cleaned my room so well! Aditi called me every day to check on how I was feeling. Rajesh cleaned my well so nicely - thank you! Diana also cleaned my room beautifully. Albert kindly helped me at the front desk. My heart is so full! Only negative feedback is on Dr Bhalla - he told me to stop taking antibiotics (which severely impeded my recovery) and when I called him a second time, he exclaimed “Called again?!” The Oberoi needs to have a better in-house doctor, especially with the goals of excellence that it strives for.

The Oberoi in Delhi excels in service. The staff attend to every detail constantly and do not except tips to do what they are trained to do. Staff refused individual tips - asked us to instead put it in their collective box if we so wished. Highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing experience! Awesome Staff - polite, friendly very very helpful. We loved our Stay at the Oberoi New Delhi! Chef Ishan's paranthas were finger licking good! everything about Oberoi New Delhi was awesome! The Views were excellent - we woke up to the sunrise and at night witnessed moon rise. Sow all the historic building right form our room! Loved everything about our stay!

The Oberoi in Delhi operates with a polished surface—clean lines, attentive staff, refined design. From the start, there was no issue, no complaint—yet an apology letter arrived from the director regarding breakfast. Not necessary, but telling. A system overcorrecting in anticipation. Rooms are immaculate. Service is anticipatory, sometimes bordering on over-eager. Staff notice everything. Breakfast was excellent. The silence in the corridors was welcomed. This isn’t a loud or performative hotel. It’s a space that mirrors you. If you bring noise, it will amplify. If you bring stillness, it will echo. A particular note of recognition for Mrs. Bhavna in the restaurant—a woman of refined presence and deep knowledge. She doesn’t just serve; she reads the guest, advises with precision, and moves with the quiet authority you typically find in Michelin-starred establishments. Her guidance elevated the experience without ever demanding the spotlight. Rare. The security staff at the entrance also deserves mention—friendly, consistent, and sharply observant without being intrusive. Their calm professionalism framed the property from the very first step, quietly setting the tone for everything that followed. My wife and I stayed here twice—once at the beginning of our India journey, once at the end. Both times, The Oberoi provided a consistent standard of order. That, more than luxury, is what I value. Would I return? Yes. Not because I was impressed. But because I was understood—without a word. The best hotel we stayed in during our journey. Effortless, precise, and quietly exceptional. ओबेरॉय दिल्ली – एक शांत और सटीक अनुभव ओबेरॉय दिल्ली बहुत सलीके से चलता है—साफ़ रेखाएं, सतर्क स्टाफ और सुरुचिपूर्ण डिज़ाइन। शुरू से कोई परेशानी नहीं थी, कोई शिकायत नहीं—फिर भी नाश्ते को लेकर डायरेक्टर की ओर से एक माफ़ी पत्र आया। ज़रूरी नहीं था, लेकिन यह बहुत कुछ कहता है। यह सिस्टम पहले ही ज़रूरत से ज़्यादा ठीक करने की कोशिश कर रहा था। कमरे एकदम साफ़ और व्यवस्थित थे। सेवा पहले से महसूस कर लेती है कि मेहमान क्या चाहेंगे—कभी-कभी ज़रूरत से ज़्यादा भी। स्टाफ़ हर चीज़ नोटिस करता है। नाश्ता बहुत अच्छा था। कॉरिडोर की शांति बहुत पसंद आई। यह होटल शोर या दिखावे वाला नहीं है। यह एक ऐसी जगह है जो आपके व्यक्तित्व को दर्शाती है। अगर आप शांति लाते हैं, तो वह और गहराई से गूंजती है। अगर आप शोर लाते हैं, तो वह भी बढ़कर लौटती है। रेस्टोरेंट की श्रीमती भावना का ज़िक्र ज़रूरी है—एक शांत और गहरी समझ वाली महिला। वह केवल सेवा नहीं करतीं, वह मेहमान को समझती हैं, सही सलाह देती हैं और बहुत शांति के साथ अपनी जगह बनाए रखती हैं—वैसी तरह की जो अक्सर मिशलिन-स्टार रेस्टोरेंट में मिलती है। उनकी सलाह ने अनुभव को और ऊँचा किया, बिना ध्यान माँगे। दुर्लभ। एंट्री पर सिक्योरिटी स्टाफ का भी उल्लेख जरूरी है—मित्रवत, सुसंगत और बिना परेशान किए बहुत सतर्क। उनकी शांति और प्रोफेशनल रवैया पहले क़दम से ही पूरे होटल का माहौल तय कर देता है। मेरी पत्नी और मैं यहाँ दो बार रुके—एक बार यात्रा की शुरुआत में, और एक बार अंत में। दोनों बार ओबेरॉय ने एक जैसी व्यवस्था और सलीका दिखाया। मेरे लिए यह लक्ज़री से ज़्यादा महत्वपूर्ण है। क्या मैं वापस आऊँगा? हाँ। प्रभावित होकर नहीं—बल्कि इसलिए कि मुझे बिना शब्दों के समझा गया। हमारी पूरी यात्रा में यह सबसे अच्छा होटल रहा। बिना प्रयास के, सटीक, और शांति से शानदार।

Absolutely brilliant! I don't often write reviews but I had to for The Oberoi. We travel a lot and this is in my top 3 hotels of all time. From the car service to and from the airport, to roses and cake on arrival (our honeymoon) it was amazing! The service is first class, they go above and beyond. The food is excellent, the gym is one of the best hotel gyms in the world and the pools are amazing! If you are in Delhi this is the only option in my opinion. 10/10
