It was a great location as it was close enough to the French quarter but far away from the hectic noise. The entrance of the hotel is beautiful inside and out. The h bathroom is a little outdated but it worked well. The shower door was loose and caused for water to leak through soaking the floor but it’s fine! The staff were also pleasant and inviting. They We enjoyed our trip and stay here.

The first impression I look for in traveling is the front desk, porter, and hospitality staff. The International House Hotel helped to make this such an awesome trips. The staff, Chris H. and Irish (front desk) were so kind, attentive, patient, and professional. They covered our needs from check-in, a place to eat (Chris printed out names, directions and his recommendations.) The valet porter, LaShunde H. made sure we were able to get our car safely and she tried to find a trolley for us at check-in, a wonderful young lady. The bartender was exceptional, not sure of his name. Chris H. became our go-to and he made sure we were enjoying our stay, I loved his detailed history of the hotel and the sophisticated stories associated with the decor and artist behind them. Chris H. is truly an asset. Our room, immaculate, roomy and wonderful. The bed was super comfy, the pillows plush, the bathroom roomy and well stocked, the closet was everything, the writing desk beautiful, sitting area exquisite, fridge kept things cold, the TV had all the major channels and was easy to navigate. I look forward to another opportunity to reside here. I had just 2 criticism it would be, I was offered a free in room beverage, which was on my reservation but charged 17 a night for that same bottle of water, I felt slighted but complied because we were checking out, people were in line and Chris was amazing. 2nd, there were street lights that illuminated our room like moonlight, all night, the curtains were awesome but that light....anyway. This hotel is certainly a 10 plus.

I brought my own pillows, blanket and sheets, I always do that but it wasn’t the most comfortable bedkind a stiff wasn’t super comfy bathroom stopper wouldn’t release the water so tub filled up as I took a shower very tiny room for price wasn’t able to connect and watch TV last but not least I went to check out and was hit with a $17 fee for two bottles of water and I’m still trying to figure out how did the guy even know that we had water but I called before I even drunk the water because I ended up parking right outside of the building and had two bottles in the truck that I forgot to grab so seeing the mountain valley on the counter I called to ask was it expensive guy says the water is free and I can even refill it downstairs so I asked him was it mountain valley refill downstairs he says no it’s a purified water machine downstairs. Water is free so I proceeded to drink the water but then got hit with a $17 fee when I was leaving, but I’m still trying to figure out. I just simply closed the door brought the keys downstairs to the front counter and he told me I drank water. How did he know that that fast that’s puzzling ohhh and went downstairs to bar to get two champagne glasses one with orange juice I had my own bottle in room but guy was so busy talking to others seated at bar so he never acknowledged me I ended up grabbing two plastic cups from bar myself

The rooms are nice and the hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. However, the room cleaning was well below standard. The ‘amenity charge’ is a rip-off too - it covers basics like WiFi, coffee and water, only the coffee is is not freshly made and you’re only given water on day 1. A nice hotel and I would still recommend it, but the above issues were disappointing.

Looks are deceiving, lobby looks nice but almost everything about this place is askew!! Bar has lousy hours (5-9pm) and unskilled bartenders. I asked the bartender if she could make a pina colada. It tasted like gasoline from the short sip I took only more expensive at 17.50. No breakfast as advertised in the amenities list. To top my stay off at 9:30 am on my last day my door opened when I was wearing my birthday suit because the front desk had given another guest my room key. Checkout time is noon!!! To that lady: please contact me to initiate legal action!
