The rooms are nice and the hotel staff were very helpful and welcoming. However, the room cleaning was well below standard. The ‘amenity charge’ is a rip-off too - it covers basics like WiFi, coffee and water, only the coffee is is not freshly made and you’re only given water on day 1. A nice hotel and I would still recommend it, but the above issues were disappointing.

Looks are deceiving, lobby looks nice but almost everything about this place is askew!! Bar has lousy hours (5-9pm) and unskilled bartenders. I asked the bartender if she could make a pina colada. It tasted like gasoline from the short sip I took only more expensive at 17.50. No breakfast as advertised in the amenities list. To top my stay off at 9:30 am on my last day my door opened when I was wearing my birthday suit because the front desk had given another guest my room key. Checkout time is noon!!! To that lady: please contact me to initiate legal action!

I have just stayed here, from New Zealand for 6 nights. What a lovely experience, I wish I could give them a million stars. Beautiful and spacious room. Every time I came downstairs or back from being out and about I was greeted like an old friend. The art in the foyer and the ambience was gorgeous. Thank you to every single member of staff at this hotel, you made this homesick kiwi feel very welcome. I'm so sad to leave New Orleans and this hotel and it's team is one of the reasons why.

Over priced, lied to, staff seemed annoyed by every guests presence. Booked 11 months out and 'paid the room in full' only to be charged $1260 when they said they were going to charge $60 for incidentals. When I asked why we were being charged an extra $1200, we were told 'oh. You only paid for one night of your 3 night stay. The $1200 is the remaining balance.' even though I called the hotel once a month since we booked because we never received any kind of confirmation email when we booked. I was finally given a confirmation code and told the room was paid in full when I called a week prior to check in. Booked a 'panoramic corner king suite' got stuffed in an almost corner room with a queen sized bed. I've had bigger queen rooms at holiday inns. The elevators were so slow we were worried they were going to break down. The entire 4th floor had a constant high pitched keening sound and the experience and hotel presentation was nowhere near worth what we paid to stay there. We were thinking of coming back to new Orleans eventually but this place killed that for us.

We were originally assigned to room 911 but the room key stopped working after one night. We were made to sit lamely around before ultimately being told we needed to switch rooms. However, this timing could not have been worse. Being locked out of our room caused us to be late to the Taylor Swift concert we came to town for. You know, the entire point of our trip. Then, upon our return at midnight, after a 3.5 hour concert, we were made to switch rooms rather than allowed to rest and switch later in the morning. This ruined the following day for us as we had excursions booked for early in the morning. In fact, the residual exhaustion from this ordeal trickled into the rest of our trip and mired the experience for us entirely. One of us caught a cold from this residual exhaustion. Additionally, we were put in a room NEXT TO THE DUMPSTER so we were woken up at 5 AM EACH DAY by garbage trucks. At one point, we had a paranormal encounter with a ghost in an elevator. We experienced a sudden chilling sensation in our bones and then the exact floor number we needed lit up even though we did not touch any buttons at all. This hotel is a mess. It advertises itself as a luxury hotel and completely catfished us because our room was a depressing broom closet. Suffice to say, we will never be returning nor recommending this hotel.
