International House

The original Bansky art = cool. The guestroom I had = nothing special. But the hotel's Loa bar and bartender Abigail added the most amazing human touch - not to mention superb mixology skills - and that it what will have me return to IHH next time I visit New Orleans.

Hot water went out several times. Heat also went out and front desk said they would send someone up to fix but never did. We have been here for a work convention 2 years in a row and neither time have I had anyone come valet my car or help me with my bags in. I have to basically find my own spot on the street bring bny bags in and hope they move my car in time before I get a ticket-which happened to one of my co-workers this year.

Very nice hotel and a great location! Easy walk to everything. The staff was wonderful. There is a cozy bar in the lobby and the bartender was exceptional and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only issue was there is a LaQuinta next door that had flood lights uplighting their hotel. The windows at IH only have curtains hanging on rods. The light came thru the gap of rod and window and lit up the room like it was daytime. Seems like an easy fix would be to add blackout shades. Anyway, we purchased sleep masks after the first night and were able to sleep better than the 1st night. I would stay here again, just make sure I bring a mask.

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We would like to thank the staff at the International House Hotel for making our stay really special. We would like to thank Irish and Chris for making our stay more fun and funny. Thank you for organizing our amazing trip to the swamp and back to the airport. Thank you also to the cleaning staff for keeping us comfortable in our amazing room. I would highly recommend this hotel and the staff. It is in a great location and close to everything. A great walkable city. We would absolutely love to return.

this hotel was beautiful inside and out. small, quaint boutique hotel that focuses on banksy art in the lobby and around the hotel. the rooms are spacious and the beds and pillows comfortable. service was great. staff very friendly. the bar looks cool but we did not get to experience it. only a block or two from canal street so walking distance to great restaurants and canal street.
