We had a Stopped up bathroom sink drain and tv didn’t work. We Did get moved to another room. Front desk ladies not friendly.

We were pleasantly surprised that we had struck gold with this hotel! We arrived after lots of travelling to be greeted by friendly reception staff! Our room was very nice, although a walk in shower would have been nice rather than a shower over the bath. Complimentary coffee was provided from the reception in the morning, which was great, as we found a lot of the hotels in the USA do not provide coffee making facilities in the rooms (which we struggled with as big coffee drinkers!) We had a few drinks in the bar, which was a nice area to relax in. However, the best thing about this hotel was the location!! It was ideal, not too busy, but only a 5 minute walk from Canal Street and surrounding areas! We were also able to store our luggage safely at the hotel storage facility so we could go out and explore more, as we were not due to leave until early afternoon! The last morning we discovered the cafe diagonally opposite the main entrance! We had a lovely breakfast there for a decent price! I would highly recommend this hotel for a great stay in the amazing city of New Orleans!

The hotel is only 2 blocks from Canal Street and makes it easy to walk anywhere or to catch a street car. The outside of the building and the lobby are nice. The rooms are small and do not come with anything except a very mini fridge. No ice bucket, hair dryer, coffee maker, microwave, etc. The bed was soft and nice to sleep on and the corner room has a good view, but the curtains do not block all the light coming from other hotels or the sun. If you visit at the summer solstice there is a ritual, about 4 hours long, done in the hotel lobby that makes it hard to access the elevators or get in and out of the hotel.

The entire staff was super friendly. I had an early flight in and they let me check in early and even gave me an upgrade. Room was clean and quiet. There’s a cozy lounge area with a great bar, which is also good for sipping coffee in the morning. Only a few blocks away from the French Quarter.
