Very small room without any storage. There wasn’t enough staff. Room service was non existent and our room went without maid service for 2 days. The restaurant was horrible and the bar was out of so many things that they couldn’t make a proper drink.

Poor management

Sadly, this is a hotel I would skip. They have a practice of overbooking and our room was unavailable when we arrived (with children late at night) despite confirming with Marriott and the hotel directly. This incidentally happened to two other families the same time we were there, Was put in a lesser room which had a leaking ceiling and was only moved at 8pm, the following day-waiting around all day to find out if we had the room we had paid for. There is a lack of transparency with billing, being refused a simple request to see the bill as we were checking out at 3:45 AM to catch a flight. The hotel is in a nice location, and a few of the staff made the decision to stick it out pleasurable, but others including the GM were disappointing and I would avoid this property.

Our first time staying here but we really enjoyed it- especially the courtyard and fountain!

We originally booked the W just to try somewhere new (our 7th trip!) and panicked a bit when we saw it was no longer a W (and read the reviews) As it was the day before we left, we decided to just go with it. We were pleasantly surprised. The service was EXCELLENT. Tinasia and Ricky were super helpful and friendly. We were offered sparkling wine on check in which was a nice touch (as well as coffee in the lobby!) We liked our balcony room (so glad we upgraded!) and really enjoyed hanging in the beautiful courtyard. We had breakfast both days in the restaurant which was nice. We will be back!

Overcharged and after 16 attempts, still not fully compensated!! **BE AWARE**

I had an extremely unpleasant correspondence with the General Manager, John McCarroll post stay and would not recommend staying here to anyone who is particular about their billing or who wants towels, toilet paper or their room cleaned without asking. I was charged extra fees that were never mentioned during the booking process, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue with management, I received a $100 credit, although much more was due to me. After weeks of emails and calls, they finally gave me an additional $100. Please note, I was due over $215 - $150 plus two $34 “destination fees” that were left off in error, totaling over $215. John and his team of Jasmine Price and Alex Cocco sent an email with a tone that they were doing me a favor. Extremely rude. I won’t even get started on the bill charges that were not mine but we paid. Prior to my stay, I tried to use a suite upgrade and zero calls were returned. I was bounced back and forth from the front desk to billing to corporate reservations. I finally gave up. After my stay, I left messages for accounting regarding my folio being incorrect. No return call. While at the hotel, you cannot call the front desk. They will not answer and ask you to use the app. I had to walk down and ask them to give me toilet paper. I had to walk down each day I needed service. For a hotel that claims to prioritize guest satisfaction, my experience was a letdown. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others to look elsewhere for a more welcoming and properly managed stay.

Overall nice hotel

Overall nice hotel! We stayed in a carriage house room off the courtyard. We had our very own private courtyard out back with a little table and chairs. It was really nice. The room was well appointed and clean. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning seemed to struggle, I cant imagine how it will do in the intense summer heat. I actually brought my own small fan and that was helpful. The dressing area was a little dimly lit, but that wasn't a huge deal. Bathroom doesn't have any hooks to hang makeup bags or towels on. We had to get creative for hanging up our things. It was clean and tidy! The main Courtyard is adorable and very "French quarter". The pool is not heated. The temp was about 80 degrees everyday we were there but the sun was blocked by clouds so we never got in the water. The location of the hotel is near perfect. The restaurant was a little dissapointing. The breakfast was alright but nothing special. Every night we were out later than the bar/restaurant was open so on the last night we made a point to go back early to try their drinks and food but upon arrival the bartender told us they were closing early due to "drain issues". He seemed really annoyed but I guess I don't understand how one drain behind the bar closes the entire restaurant. So our daily meal vouchers that you get in exchange for the resort fee they charge were only partially used. We felt a bit short changed over that.
