Centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, Bryant Park is a little bit of Europe in New York. The green lawns of the park are overshadowed by the New York Public Library, and all around sidewalk cafes and upscale boutiques bustle with activity. Home to weekly book and flower markets, Bryant Park is also periodically covered by white tents for New York Fashion Week. There is no more exciting place to be in all New York, and it is here that you will find the uber-hip Bryant Park Hotel.

We stayed here for a 3-night visit to enjoy a few Broadway shows and the holiday sights and sounds. We had a low-floor room (at our request), and were on the 4th floor (the lowest floor w/ rooms) overlooking Bryant Park (through scaffolding). It appeared that the floor must have been remodeled recently - everything seemed new. The room was VERY spacious (for NYC), with a VERY large bathroom (shower and bath, one sink, lots of counter space). Room was extremely quiet. Despite being near the street, the window seemed soundproof, and we slept well. Jo (Josephine), the hotel manager who greeted us on arrival, was fantastic. Though we could not check in on arrival (we were early; we could have paid $100 for early check-in, but chose not to). We took her recommendations for lunch, and ate down the street at Heritage Restaurant - excellent choice. Our room was ready on time. When we got back to the hotel, we explained that we would have to be at LaGuardia early Thanksgiving morning for our flight home. We knew that streets would be closed, and traffic constrained. Jo's response? "No problem!" She arranged a cab that waited for us at Madison & 40th, and got us to LaGuardia quickly. Housekeeping was attentive. Hotel had muffins and coffee out each morning for guests. We ate in the hotel restaurant one morning; an a-la-carte breakfast that was reasonably priced for a full-service NYC hotel (~$80 for the two of us, including two full breakfasts and tip). Enjoyed being next to Bryant Park for the holiday market. Not as close to Theater District as we've enjoyed on earlier stays (lots of walking as a result), but we will very likely stay here again - due to their hospitality (Thanks, Jo!).

Pampered is how I can best describe my stay at Bryant Park Hotel. Fluffy robes, steamy shower with smoky herbaceous scented bath products and a wonderful view of skyline . The rooms are cozy , modern and immaculate with spacious bathroom. Dwight and Paul are ever so gracious in attending to their guests needs . In fact, I was so paranoid about selecting a hotel , I booked at several and finally choose this hotel after they assured me my stay would be memorable. The hotel location is absolutely perfect . And, an umbrella inside closet in case of sudden rainfall.

This hotel is wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful and the location is great! We love Josephine! The room was perfect. We couldn't even suggest an improvement. The square was being turned into holiday magic. We would have liked to stay longer and plan to return whenever we are in New York City.

My husband stays here on business and the front desk staff always remembers his name each time he returns which I find amazing. I tagged along with him on this trip and made fast friends with Jo at the front desk. She is so helpful and kind and gave me great restaurant recommendations. She also grabbed me for a photo with Santa Claus when he appeared out in front of the hotel. She is a wonderful person and made our stay truly enjoyable. Our room was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed a great view of the Christmas Market at Bryant Park. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and their amazing staff.

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location. the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble. When we asked we were provided with a kettle and tea! The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. Bryant Park is lovely and the Christmas Market had just opened when we stayed along with a skating ring. Coffee and muffins served in the foyer at breakfast time. We didn't try the bar but it looked amazing. We will be back!
