I was looking for a special hotel in the metropolis they call New York. I have no negative points to mention. This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel which in my opinion had a personal feel about it! We were checked in by Vuk, a pleasant, efficient and friendly chap who made you feel welcome from the moment you stepped into reception. Our room was a King with a balcony with partial view! December not really the month for sitting out 😬 however you could get a breath of fresh air if needed. The bathroom was modern with a walk in shower - this was one reason i choose this hotel as we didn’t want a shower over bath! You got towels changed daily and had small bathroom treats, shower gel, body lotion etc… The mini bar was fully shocked with good choice of drinks, nuts, biscuits and chocolate. Please note we got $50 dollar allowance for the mini bar so this was ample for us to get a snack or drink. The room also had a Nespresso Coffee Machine this was great as hubby and I enjoy nice coffee. The bed was very comfy and pillows excellent. Rooms had hanging space in a built in wardrobe alongside drawers and dressing table area. TV was useful for a news catch up but you don’t come to NY to sit in your room😂! The hotel did have an independent restaurant called the Reading Room. Had a couple of drinks but never ate in there! If you are looking for a luxury midtown small hotel this could be for you.

Recently returned from a three night stay in this hotel in New York. Overall a good experience, slightly spoilt by my husband getting locked in the bathroom and having to be rescued. Room large, bed comfortable, air-con/heating unit too close to the bed, bathroom good with nice toiletries. Had to ask for coffee pods to be replenished as not done when room serviced. Doorman outstanding, a real character!! All staff very pleasant.

After being to NYC multiple times The Gotham is a great hotel for the price. If you are used to The Plaza then its not for you, bit if you are looking for a nice hotel with an incredible staff this is your spot. The rooms are a little bigger than most hotel rooms, all hotel rooms in NY are small. Spacious and clean, well laid out. Its in mid town so its close to the Broadway shows and shopping. The service is incredible, all the staff is friendly and helpful. They have solutions for every situation. Didnt get to eat at the hotel but the Reading room looked nice. Would definitely stay at The Gotham again!

This hotel has excellent staff! Front to back / top to bottom / start to finish! Convenient location near 5th Avenue and about a 10-to-15-minute walk to Times Square. The room was clean, and the size was decent, but the balcony was of no use as it only had a view of a brick wall with no windows and loud a/c units between the buildings. I would take a sound machine. The cost was a bit expensive for a standard room, but it is NYC so expected. I would recommend this hotel and again the staff were exceptional!

Not good value. Expensive hotel. First, the good . Decent position near 5th Avenue and a 10 minute walk to Times square. Good staff and exceptionaly comfy bed. Decent size room. Now the bad. Paid extra for a balcony that was of no use as it only had a view of a brick wall with no windows. Hotel with 24 floors and only 2 lifts, one of which was out of order, which caused long waits. We were here for 2 nights. The lift only worked the first night only. Out of service all yesterday and today. Very dissapointing for what we paid.
