Great Holiday Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Excellent service. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Super comfortable bed. Loved the buffet breakfast. We enjoyed lounging in the lobby for cappuccinos or after dinner drinks. The lobby was so beautifully decorated for the holidays.

A beautifully appointed room.

This was my first trip back to the Intercontinental Barclay in two decades. What a joy to return after the beautiful 2017 renovation. The lobby feels expansive with carpet and beautiful marble tiles. Everything is in line with the hotels unique heritage. Our room was beautifully appointed with a sweet gallery wall over the bed and a relaxing, lakeside mural on one end of the room. Room amenities were lovely and well placed and the bed was both comfortable and cozy. So ofter we return to a place only to find it's slipped somehow from our memory. We were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful comfort and welcoming feel and spirit of the old Barclay. We'll be back and fairly soon.

Cozy and Comfy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The hotel is gorgeous; the staff is very friendly - we made a new friend - Angel - who welcomed us and catered to our needs; he’s the best! The room was clean and cozy. The beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again. We were only a few blocks from all main attractions, Rockefeller Center, Radio City, St Patrick’s, Times Square, Bryant park…we walked everywhere!

Wonderful experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This rooms are the same as they are in the pictures pillows the are the best I have had in a hotel. The staff are wonderful and very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure that you have the best service possible. The food is something from the havens and the cocktails taste amazing so many different options.

Poor customer service. Charging a "no show" fee.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Unfortunately, I made appear to have made an error in booking on line. We called to discuss and asked if we could move the reservation to the correct night. Not only were we denied, but we were charged a "no show" fee of $200. I have stayed at this hotel previously- it was an honest error- and the unwillingness to even discuss is shameful. I will never stay at this or any other intercontinental hotel again. Please everyone- double check your booking when you make it and check your credit card statements for surprise charges. What is a "no show" fee- they just got paid for the full night and NOBODY stayed in the room!
