This place is a jewel. The best hotel I've ever experienced in years of travel. Truly top notch. Every person, every amenity, everything about this place is excellent. It is beautiful place. I don't think I can stay anywhere else, as this place is absolute perfection.

The location, ambience and aesthetic can't be beat. I will look forward to staying here again when I visit NYC. A Gem in the city. The hotel is very quiet and gorgeous. Everyone working at The Lowell is professional and goes above and beyond. Make sure to stay here if you want superior accommodations.

The Lowell is somewhere between an incredibly comfortable home surrounded by the feeling of gilded and exceptional service. It is full of the little touches that make it stay in a hotel very comfortable. It as if the staff anticipate your every need. There is really nothing quite like it in New York.

Way overpriced for what you get. Extremely small tired room. Shocked that the toilet was wide-open to the bedroom. Service at this place should’ve been much better. In three days the doorman didn’t even open the door once. Concierge basically ignored us. Fire alarm blaring in the middle of the night, one night, very disorienting. And you would think that someone at the hotel would apologize for the inconvenience. 1 of the 4 desk attendants we interacted with was engaging. The most rude one was the one that laughed when I asked for a paper map, and she couldn’t help me as it “wasn’t her thing” Highlight was time in the lounge/living area off the lobby. It was very nice. Frankly, with so many options in Manhattan skip The Lowell.

Excellent stay. We spent Thanksgiving here and enjoyed the dinner. The room was quite comfortable, with a nice view, and it was quiet. Great neighborhood. The lounge with the fireplace was perfect. We prefer this hotel over many others where we have stayed over the years, including the Surrey, the Mark, and the Carlyle. All wonderful hotels but not as intimate.
