My house in NYC.
Our fourth time at the hotel, it has become our home in NYC. The difference is the size of the rooms. The rooftop is amazing, and, a differential is the location: in the middle ou Manhattan, close than metro. Perfect location. I recommend it to everyone.

Great location, comfy rooms & cool staff
Had a great time at the Royalton, great location, better hotel staff. Shout out Courtney and Dennis on the front desk for being such a great help. They really made our experience and are a big factor why we will be back. Think we have found our new hotel for NYC when we come over for business.

I hope someone sues them
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. My stay at Royalton Park Avenue (March 17–21) was a nightmare of hidden fees and baseless accusations. Despite my reservation being fully prepaid, I was charged $239 in undisclosed facility fees. Worse, I was hit with a $500 smoking penalty—despite not smoking—based solely on a vague sensor reading. When I provided a logical explanation (aerosol hair products while using a diffuser) and shared video evidence of the vapor cloud this produces, management dismissed me outright, refused to investigate, and ignored my requests for proof. They even claimed there was a second sensor alert but never provided any details. Meanwhile, hallways and neighboring rooms reeked of marijuana, yet I was unfairly targeted. Management (specifically Alexis & Gabriela) was unhelpful, accusatory, and unwilling to engage in a fair discussion. After researching, I found similar reports from other guests facing false smoking charge. Avoid this hotel unless you’re prepared for baseless accusations, hidden fees, and unjust $500 charges. I am pursuing complaints with the BBB and consumer protection agencies.

Subpar
Just a subpar experience. No help with luggage. Room service never answered the phone. Horrible smell in hotel. Location is good. Staff not friendly. I’m used to a more elevated experience. The rooftop was nice. Minibar items/food very dusty

Swim daily every day outdoors.
Excellent service. Great position. Clean, large room and prompt room service. As a daily swimmer, the rooftop warm outdoor pool with a clear view of the Empire State Building, that opens from 7am 365 days a year, makes it a "must stay" hotel! Highly recommended.
