Sonder Chambers

As a long time Marriott member I was glad to see Sonder as an option when booking. My stay was wonderful and the location I picked in manhattan was close to the places I love. My only negative is that the WiFi connection was pretty dodgy. But overall this is an excellent option to explore.

Really great location for exploring Manhattan and Brooklyn. The room was very comfy and spacious for the two of us. Excellent shower. Staff were all friendly and accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage in storage on check out. Some road noise but nothing that you wouldn’t expect for a central location.

Nice boutique hotel chain - The Sonders Chamber was very conveniently located near the F & E trains and only 2 blocks from Central Park. Also, lots of good restaurant options in the area. Staff were great. Loved they have Roku streaming. Nice to have coffee/tea service in room.

The hotel - Quiet, relaxing vibe with a friendly and helpful staff. The mezzanine level provides a number of areas for small private gatherings or simply a place to relax and read outside your room. The room was spacious and well kept. Imagine a nice, warm, small hotel, where you can come and go as if it were a private location with a very inconspicuous staff, there only when you wanted them. Attached to the hotel is Felice 56, a great Italian restaurant, cafe and wine bar. The area - we picked this location in order to be close to central park as well as the Theater district. It worked out perfectly for what we wanted. Parking is a very short walk at #33 and a discount sticker is provided at the front desk and you need to ask for it. I've used Marriott for decades and always try to stay at a Marriot. This time, I found Sonder through the Marriott site and thought I'd try a different experience because it was recommended by Marriott. We were very happy with the choice and got points credit through Marriott. We'd definitely go back to this location and will look for others in the Sonder brand. This ain't an AirBNB, it's between one and a hotel and a lot closer on the trust scale to a hotel like Marriott.

Excellent room and facilities, simple smooth check in and out. Fabulous location. Very clean, tidy and quiet. Staff polite and helpful. The mezzanine floor is well equipped and an ideal place to wait or meet others. Would stay again for sure and thoroughly recommend.
