Had a wonderful time at the pendry. Very modern, gym is super nice, and very centrally located. I would especially like to shout out Blake in valet. He did a phenomenal job and I truly enjoyed talking with him! Overall highly recommended for a stay in Newport Beach!

The overall experience was exceptional, and I can hardly wait to visit the remaining properties. The staff was so accommodating and helpful, the food was amazing and the spa experience was outstanding. I would love to recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel knowingly put us in a room next to a room occupied by a convention group, where they had a huge loud meeting every morning. This shows incompetence. Sleep is the most important thing. This was our first stay at a Pendry, doubt we will stay at one again

Received a 60 min deep tissue massage from Laurelle. Probably one of the best massages I've ever received. She is very good and I highly recommend if your traveling here! She is very well trained on the body's meridians and familiar with helping the body heal. Don't miss out.

This hotel has not been one of our preferred places to stay in the area, but we are fans of the Pendry brand and of new or recently renovated hotels. So, after a recent renovation and name change, we booked a stay here with high hopes and overall, we were pleased. The atmosphere of the hotel is modern, a little dark, and club like, but not too much so. The lobby level includes a glamourous looking bar and an attractive steak house which also has some nice outdoor space. We stayed in a corner garden one bedroom suite. We chose this option to get more space and light. It was worth the extra money as we enjoyed the separate living room which included a large sofa, dining table with two chairs, and a big TV. The bedroom was also nice with a lounger at the end of the bed and another TV. A small balcony with two chairs and a table offered additional space. There were four windows with two exposures providing plenty of light, although one of the windows was very dirty. The bathroom was a little disappointing. The original sand color marble was in good shape, but dated the space. The old door knobs and lack of lighting in the separate shower also fell short of the more modern style of the suite. We also did not appreciate the fully stocked mini fridge with touch sensors. Give us space for our own choices. The large pool is surrounded by a tropical garden on one side and is a pleasant place to relax. There are an ample number of cushioned loungers available, but unfortunately many are obviously stained and about half of them are missing head rests. The gym is pretty large for a hotel with lots of windows in a modern industrial setting with a small outdoor area. We found the location of the hotel on the edge of the Fashion Island Mall a convenient plus. We walked over several times for food and shopping. We also had a very good meal at Viamara at The Elwood Club which has a gorgeous look to it in its hidden location within the hotel. Parking was $65 per night and there was also a daily resort fee of $50 per day during our stay.
