My husband and I stayed at the pillar and Post the weekend of March 1st, my birthday weekend! Its not our first time staying here. but things have changed to the worse. things look run down. Our room had a bad order I think it was coming from the carpet. our soap dispenser were empty and some towels were missing. Also the fire place wasn't working that great! We also used the indoor hot tub and the water was Luke warm, the water should be a little hotter, other people were also complaining about that! Pillar and Post left a bad taste in our mouth!!! Its a shame, because it was amazing years ago. I think some new reno's need to happen, its looking run down!

The hotel is dated. I remember when it used to feel luxurious and travelled here many times. The doors to the rooms are scratched up now and the carpet is old. The bedding feels sloppy and the fireplace in the room is the old brick with black suet. It’s very obvious that the hotel has not been updated for over 20 years. Overpriced for sure when newer hotels in the area are popping up and offering updates and better customer service. We had an issue with room service. Was told we could not customize something on the menu. We did contact the food and beverage manager who graciously rectified the issue but for a vintage hotel this should never have happened. The hotel over all lacks the premium service one would expect for a vintage hotel. Our server was adequate at our dinner but the service felt rushed. I will compliment the server when we couldn’t decide on the wine and she provided flights to help us make a choice. That was very well done. Aside from that the hotel overall lacks the premium expectation that doesn’t match up to the price they charge for their hotel and services.

Wonderful hotel, with great staff and awesome amenities. Our relaxation massage was fantastic and the hot Springs pool was beautiful and a wonderful experience. Don’t skip The Cannery restaurant, offering delicious meals, and decadent desserts.

We have stayed many times here and each time has been very pleasant. Make sure you book the dining room two weeks ahead of your stay you may find it full and booked. We usually go out most times for dinner and when we do stay we order our dinner room service which comes piping hot and well made. Also book the hot springs when you get there they have 20 minute sessions. Small areas so you could understand if they didn't do this would not be pleasurable. The shuttle to local venues is a wonderful thing well worth the resort fee charges. Next to that if you going for a relaxing weekend you don't need much change of clothes one day we never left. The pool is very nice and so is the outdoor heated pool. The sauna very inviting just make sure it's turned on many people have no idea it's off when I went in there. The housekeeping is fantastic, always has been. You ask they take care of you. Don't be afraid to use IVY app is very effective in handling your issue quickly. Now why only 4*? On the Monday morning when we left our friends car that was parked in the hooted parking lot had they window smashed. Sad way to end a rest. Not only were their cars smashed but 6 others. We figured there is no security Exocet when they call outside police, we maybe wrong and looking back we never seen any clue of in shout security team that would help out in certain conflicts. So ask them for yourself since we doubt very much this is a one off thing and doesn't happen more often. My car was parked in the auxiliary parking across the street was spared however 2 of the cars had their windows smashed their. Our friends filed a police report there. Would I still go there! Yes so long they tell me they have security on site I cannot afford to have windows smashed or worse.

The room was very well appointed. My husband enjoyed the Nepresso machine! A lovely gesture of a rose was placed on our pillow ! The facilities, pool and hot tub were immaculate and well supplied with fresh towels! The outdoor heated pool was a nice touch in the falling light snow ! The meal at the Cannery was delicious with the server being very attentive and helpful with suggestions! Check out was quick and staff always very friendly! We look forward to another stay!
