At the Hotel La Pérouse, you are in an extremely uncommon place; it's the address you will keep to yourself so that it doesn't become too popular and too busy. The view on the Angel Bay is spectacular: it will take your breath away. Located in a unique setting, nestled on the Castle Hill, just at the end of the promenade des Anglais, a short walk from the market of the Cours Saleya in the old Nice, just behind the port. At the foot of the hotel, the "Castel" private beach will welcome you for a dip in the sea or to sunbathe. Under the lemon trees and in the exclusive and cool atmosphere of a genuine Mediterranean garden, our restaurant Le Patio offers exquisite lunches and dinners reminiscent of a refined Provencal cuisine. sed on fresh farm products, you will love the refined cuisine overflowing with freshness and your taste buds will travel through these Southern aromas. On the most beautiful perched terrace of Nice, surrounded by century-old lemon trees and the Riviera’s million fragrances, you will fall for this serene haven. Our chef focuses on seasonal products and this is why the restaurant menu may vary depending on the seasons.

This hotel was very nice and the location was great. The view from the patio was FANTASTIC. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that because of the construction, it was hard to find it and we went into the hotel next door at first. Once the work is removed in the front, it will be more easily found. Once we were inside, the hotel is lovely and we had a really nice stay. I am sad we didn't get to visit the bar or restaurant, but maybe next time.

We stayed in La Perouse last week for 5 nights. We opted for a what was described as a garden room. The room we were given when we checked in was in a corner, between two other rooms so overnight the noise from both the rooms was very intrusive. People talking, children crying and we could hear everything that was happening in their bathrooms. We could also clearly hear people walking past our room to get to the restaurant. The room did not overlook a garden but the glass roof of the restaurant. . The shower head in our bathroom was partly blocked and so the next morning we asked to move rooms. The room we were given was on a higher floor and larger but very dark and gloomy. There was a table with chairs outside but it was only when we went out to have a look round did we realise that there was a deep well to our left with some kind of extraction fan at the bottom. The noise made it impossible to sit out and it was very unattractive. . Also, no garden view, we looked out over another room and a walkway which led up to the roof so there were people walking by quite regularly and fully able to look into our room ( which had large windows) unless we drew the curtains. Even more gloom. The shower head in this room was also partly blocked, water only came out of a side and was extremely hot.. Every day I reported it but nothing was done. We stayed with the second room as it was clear when we changed from the first that it was not something the hotel was particularly happy doing. I don’t think they felt there was really anything wrong with the original room. The restaurant is attractive and the breakfasts good. We ate there the first night , a good meal. The staff were mostly very pleasant. We travel regularly and can’t remember a time when we had such unsatisfactory rooms. The hotel seems happy to allocate these inferior rooms to guests who didn’t book a sea view. To describe them as having a garden view is inaccurate. We plan to come back to Nice next spring as part of a tour of the coast but we will definitely not be staying at La Perouse. MH and H , UK

We had a fantastic stay for our 25th anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make it special. We got upgraded to one of the nicest rooms in the hotel and complementary champagne. The property itself is built into the cliff and facing the water so it’s pretty quiet. Sitting on the balcony you can see boats coming and going from the marina. A short hike takes you to the waterfall above. Overall a 11 out of 10 experience!! The front desk staff even helped us locate some specific local French chocolate we wanted to bring home to our French neighbor. We would return and recommend to our friends!!

An oasis of calm in bustling Nice, just steps from the Promenade des Anglais, Cours Saleya and Nice Old Town. Fabulous staff, from arrival to departure, lovely restaurant and amazing sea views. A unique hotel set across many levels.

Very good location for the old town. Excellent views from our balcony and also from the 'solarium' on the roof. Enjoyed breakfasts very much - good location with seating inside or out, weather permitting. Excellent menu, but disappointed that omelettes weren't included in the standard breakfast rate - a plain one would have been no more effort to make than scrambled eggs, but cost an extra 8 €. Room was comfortable, with a good-sized balcony in our case and an attractive bathroom, but the shower over the bath was pretty basic by today's standards. Lifts didn't give a good first impression, being cramped, tired-looking and rather slow and we used the stairs where possible, but unfortunately, there was no avoiding the lifts between reception and the first floor. Service overall was good, with helpful staff. However, room service was variable and consumables, e.g. loo paper were not always topped up. Checking out took longer than expected with just one person on the desk and people waiting to be served, but we were pleased with the fixed-price private taxi they arranged for us to the airport. Overall, glad we stayed and would recommend the hotel.
