We wanted to eat in a special place and we chose La Rotonde in Le Negresco!!! Such a beautiful building in Nice. We were celebrating two special birthdays. The welcome and service was second to none. I chose the set menu which was well priced and the food was delicious. We spent the whole evening there from 7-11pm, we weren’t rushed or made to feel uncomfortable. The whole experience was fantastic and they even had candles on our desserts making it feel even more special!!! It is more expensive than some places but worth every penny. A lovely night.

Let's start with the most unpleasant thing of the review, the negative aspects: None! I tend to always find something to criticize or that I'm not satisfied with, in this case I have to say everything was perfect. Let's start with the fact that the staff is worthy of the highest hotel school, in particular a big round of applause for the concierge service that already a few weeks before my arrival in Nice helped me with restaurant bookings. Even during the stay, the staff was always very helpful and efficient in fulfilling any desire. I believe that the great strength of the hotel is also not being part of a large chain but being under a "local" French management that gives a more familiar touch to the stay. The "savoire faire" of France is very noticeable in the hotel's services. Of course the prices are not those of the Novotel but then again this is one of the most iconic hotel structures in France if not in Europe. And in any case, especially for us who come from Switzerland, the price is more than reasonable for the services offered. But what about breakfast??? I still dream about it every morning at home: excellent typical French bakery and pastry products: phenomenal. There is certainly not a large buffet like a large seaside resort but I can guarantee that breakfast satisfies every need and shows the best of French cuisine in the morning. If you then have other desires just order from “à la carte menu”. Don't forget that you are also in an art gallery with 6000 pieces in the aisles of the hotel including some works by Dalì. We had booked a room with a garden and partial sea view: very large with everything you can expect in a 5 star hotel. If I really have to criticize, the bathtub instead of the shower in the bathroom was not the best.... Another thing that I found curious, even though I also care about the environment, was the water offered in the room in Tetra Pak packaging... maybe it would be more classy glass bottles with the typical “N” logo found everywhere in the hotel. The hotel is located on the famous Promenade des Anglais and the whole city can be easily visited on foot leaving your car in the hands of the very kind parking attendants. I think the hotel deserves all 5 stars, I can't wait to go back maybe in the summer to take advantage of their beach! Highly recommended!

We spent 4 nights at this classic French hotel. At first we were assigned a room with a deep tub which also included a shower. Because of the depth of the bathtub it would have been difficult for me since I am short and so they moved us to a room with a bathtub and separate free standing shower. There are some renovations going on in the hotel but it didn’t disturb us. The hotel is a unique museum like property with art everywhere. Our king sized room was large and decorated in classic highly decorative old French style with a huge painting taking up half of one wall. There was space to unpack all of our stuff, the bed was comfortable, the towels nice, accessible plugs to recharge our electronic devices, two chairs, a table in between and a vanity like area. Though not large, the bathroom had a vanity to hold our stuff, decent lighting and a separate toilet area. The room had electronic blackout shutters but could use some better sound proofing. We could hear our next door neighbors when they were talking loudly to their grandchildren on their cell phones and on Friday night when there was loud music in the bar below our room. When we mentioned this at checkout the assistant manager was quite upset and apologetic and unsolicitedly deducted our parking fees. We even received a phone call from the manager after our departure apologizing for the noise issue. Breakfast was in a lovely room and featured a nice buffet as well as a menu. I wish I could give this hotel a 4.5 star review. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed gratis for only one night as a conference moderator but of course had a spectacular and HUGE room for just me. As expected, impeccable concierge service and even doorhop service as well. Immaculate, quiet room and comfortable bed. I appreciated the heavy curtains too. Great WiFi. Very happy with the commitment to the environment with the absence of mini toiletries and instead bigger bottles. Great bathroom lighting. Only slight disappointment was the fitness facility. Stuffy and cramped, but enough equipment for a good workout. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and had very good hot and cold options including for vegetarians.

We love hotels and travel extensively. We have stayed in many luxury hotels in the South of France, and just a couple hotels in the area can considered themselves a Palace. Le Negresco is definelety a Palace. The teams have been attentive to every detail during our short stay. We were celebrating the birthday of my husband, and every time he interacted with a member of the staff, they new it was his birthday. The room service breakfast with the balloons was a very touching detail. Small things make a big difference. Also, it was nice to interact with the Housekeeping team, they new so much about art. They educated us about the artist who designed the carpets of the corridors. There is so much art in this hotel, I think it is unique in the world. Thank you for an amazing experience!
