Inspired by traditional Omani construction techniques using local stones, the Alila Jabal Akhdar creates a uniquely relaxing environment, from the pool to the spacious suites that look out to mesmerising views of the cliff and mountains. Within the stone exteriors, the resort’s minimalist style blends warmth and colours that reflect the region’s culture. Although an uncommon travel destination, the luxury and adventure of Oman awaits you at the Alila Jabal Akhdar.

We had a fantastic experience. The hotel facility is top notch, the location (and the view!) are second to none. Staff around the hotel is absolutely great. Only "watch out" is that there is only one restaurant which while food was good - staff struggled a bit a times

The whole experience of staying at this hotel was wonderful. However, the menu could have been more varied, as there was not much choice for vegetarians and vegans. Apart from this the staff and ambiance of the hotel were great. The view is breathtaking and the walks are very enjoyable.

What a place! I learned about the Alila while researching places to stay and things to do in Oman and I am so glad I found out about this place. It was amazing. We stayed for 2 nights and loved every second of it. The location is unreal, so secluded and quiet, with amazing views from every part of the hotel. The room was beautiful, large and so comfortable - we felt so cozy on the cold nights. The balcony with full sun during the day was an amazing place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. The food - all fantastic - and the service was top notch. There is so much to do in the area and it can all be arranged by the hotel. We were only there for a short time, so we stayed on the resort. We took part in the Via Ferrata excursion, which was the absolute best, thrilling experience with amazing views. We also did a walk around the property, it had signage to guide you around to different view points and through the gardens, it was so relaxing and peaceful. The spa was lovely, I had a facial and my husband used the hot tubs and steam room, so relaxing. Breakfast, was a total feast. But then, so was every meal. I would recommend the Lamb Shewa for dinner. The drive up was also it's own adventure and offered the most amazing views, which just added to our overall experience.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The design of the hotel is very stylish and is very in keeping with its mountain location. The rooms are large, well equipped and very comfortable and we had a great view over the mountains from our balcony. The staff are very attentive and the service was very good. The choice of food was wide and the quality very good. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel

Alila Jabal Akhdar is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The location is fantastic. Perched at a 2000-metre altitude, facing a deep canyon, actually one of Oman's 🇴🇲 most beautiful natural sites, the hotel offers expansive views over the surrounding mountains and the distant low lands. Alila Jabal Akhdar is a very good example of successful architectural integration into a natural site as the dark stoned buildings combine perfectly with the rocky landscape. The well-kept gardens and the pool area - a vast outdoor heated infinity pool, a jacuzzi, and many sunbeds - are beautiful. Interior decoration displays local handicrafts and harmoniously combines wood and stone. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with a closet, a coffee machine, and an iron. The large sofa on the terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the view over the canyon and the mountain range. Room decoration nicely mixes local objects with contemporary artefacts. I have no doubt that one of the hotel's strongest points is service. Professional and smiling, it is also very efficient as all our requests were rapidly and successfully attended. The food was also very good both at breakfast and dinner. We selected dishes from the various cuisines represented on the menu (Western, Asian, Indian and Arabic) and were very satisfied. However, unfortunately, we noted that the portions of dishes such as salads were too small. This should be corrected. The hotel also offers several outdoor activities such a great (but not so easy) via ferrata, mountain biking, and hiking. Regrettably, at over 180 £ the 1-hour massage, the spa is overpriced. I have no hesitation to place Alila Jabal Akhdar on my top hotel list and highly recommend the place for a 2- to 3-day stay.
