InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta

This is our go to staycation spot. The exceptional quality of the rooms is always consistent. The staff are always helpful with anything you need. We highly recommend splurging for the Club access. Ness and Asia are wonderful hosts in the Club. The food and beverages are always delicious. Perfect cocktails are served at the bar and we always enjoy the wonderful meals served in the Americano.

I'm an IHG reward member since 2017, and a second year Ambassador at the Platinum level. I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 4 months, and have never received my room upgrade that comes with being an Ambassador. Specifically this past stay (Super Bowl Sunday 2/9/25 ) was quite problematic. I booked a suite and was expecting to receive my room upgrade ( as I see the upgraded room was available via the IHG app). Upon arrival I was notified no suites were available. The hotel was almost empty (see attached pictures) I asked again about my upgrade and they stated only the Presidental suite (at an additional cost of $5000 per night was available). I then rechecked the IHG app and 3 upgraded suites were all listed as available for the night. Further, I called the Ambassador 800 number and they confirmed the same information I was able to view, 3 upgraded suites were available for the night! Eventually I was offer points in lue of my upgrade , but only after asking to speak with a manager. I've stayed at Intercontinental Hotels around the world and never have a problem receiving my benefits. It's sad that at my local Buckhead hotel I have to haggle to get my Ambassador benefits. You would think loyalty means something, here I don't feel that is the case. To add insult to injury I was mistakenly charged for room service. I've made the hotel aware and till this date have no remedy.

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing massage at the spa. I was very pleased with how the hostess Amirah welcomed us with a warm smile and such great customer service. I was paired with my therapist MiMi, who took very good care of me. She is an amazing therapist and I will definitely request her on my next visit!

I booked a couples hot stone massage for my fiancé’s birthday and the entire experience was amazing. When we first arrived at the spa, Amirah, was so friendly and welcoming. My massage therapist Junie was beyond what I expected. Not only did I get the best massage I have ever had so far but she was able to stretch me as well. Afterwards, we had mimosas and relaxed even more. I cannot wait for my next appointment!!

This is a great property with friendly staff and excellent service. The rooms were very clean, and from check-in to check-out, everything was top-notch. The food downstairs was fantastic, adding to the overall experience. While the rooms are starting to show some signs of wear compared to my first stay, that’s to be expected over time. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it!
