Coco Bodu Hithi

One of the best weeks of my life. Coco Bodu Hithi is incredible!! The resort is pure paradise, the food as sensational, and the staff were magnificent - in particular Rona, Nittu, Chef Munsoor and Megan who made our experience extra special! Everything about our stay was perfection and I couldn't recommend staying here enough for a true luxurious Maldivian stay!

This was our second trip to the Mqldives and we really enjoyed our stay in a private residence water villa. Even though the resort had high occupancy while we were there, it felt quiet and the service was great by all the staff. A highlight of our trip was the dive shop. We did 9 dives to great locations where we saw lots of marine life and mantas. Nasif and Dominika and the entire boat team are what really made the diving extra special. Nasif and Dominika are very experienced and knowledgeable and made our dives lots of fun! They, along with the boat crew, took great care of us! We enjoyed every minute of our time at Coco Bodu Hithi and loved the fact that every meal, massage, walk, dive, etc comes with a spectacular view!

My wife and I were looking for some winter sun, a restful and relaxing time and being well looked after. We had high expectations. We had never been to Maldives but everyone we knew who had, was encouraging. We came away with our expectations met although the first few days the weather although warm was disappointing as overcast, rainy and then dramatic night-time thunderstorm. Smooth transfer by speedboat with the hotel staff scooping us up at the airport. The dock is literally across the road from the airport. The staff were all a delight and couldn’t do enough. Really welcoming and friendly. Hamu was our minder/host and was part of welcome group and showed us around and introduced us to our island villa ( we were v comfortable there. Aircon good, roomy. Handy for main restaurant and bar/pool). We didn’t feel we missed out by not having an over the water villa. Without pestering, Hamu made sure we had everything we needed and tracked us down each day to confirm we were OK. Although it looked pricey the travel agents nudged us to the all inclusive package which was well worth it. The choice of alcoholic drinks way exceeded my expectations with quality and choice. Really extensive choice of v good wines. We loved the main ‘Air’ restaurant. Hot buffet with extensive choice including 4or 5 delicious curries each sitting, a Chinese main with variations on fried rice and stir fry veg, delicious roast beef/ lamb and the guys on the grill would do kebabs, tuna steaks to order. Pasta station too. You could walk around whole island in about 15 mins. Really safe shallow lagoon just down from main pool, and great snorkelling from the shore to the reef in 2-3 locations from the beach. We were not quite sure what to do about tipping but were able to add onto the bill on leaving with assurance it was distributed around all the staff, but we were glad we had also taken US dollars and so were able to pass these onto the many individuals who had looked after us.

Just got back from a week at the Coco Bodu Hithi resort with my partner to celebrate my 30th birthday. We can honestly say it was the best holiday we have ever been on. The island boasts the most beautiful white sandy beaches and the bluest sea perfect for snorkelling and diving. We stayed in an Escape water villa which was absolutely breathtaking inside and out. The food was fabulous with every type of cuisine available at the buffet. The individual restaurants on the island were also amazing, especially Stars, and Tsuki for those who love sushi! Extra thanks to our host Tomi for answering any questions we had during our stay and giving us a lovely warm welcome and send off. Thank you Coco, we will hold onto these lovely memories and hope to be back!

We stayed here 31 Jan to 10 Feb 2025 as the Coco water residences villa 608. We had a great experience with great sunrise villa at the residences. We were greeted by Misbah our resident manager who looked after us for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he helped make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Our villa attendant was Nasir and our villa was kept clean to a high standard every day with fresh beach towels provided. He also decorated our villa for several special occasions and was pleasant to chat to. As we were at the coco residences villas we went to the Star bar most nights. The manager Gomez, was great and in our opinion made the best tasting and looking cocktails at the resort. He should teach all bar staff how to make cocktails. We are a lot in Air restaurant. We felt there was plenty of choice here with great food prepared by Linton and Aktar the grill chefs. I got a fresh Indian Dosa at breakfast most days from Aktar. Linton was always smiling and prepared eggs for my wife. Sami a manager of air always took time to greet us and enquire about our day. Two attendants Hasan and Samah were great. The worked the area by the desserts. Hasan always checking out drinks and attentive. Samah always glad to see us with a smile and helped me with some local cuisine explaining what it was. Whenever we walked about the resort all staff said hello or greeted us with a good morning/ evening and made us feel welcomed. I did an introduction to diving and my instructor from Sri Lanka made me feel safe in the water and really helped, highly recommended. Overall we had the holiday we wanted which was to relax and enjoy the island. Great reefs for ray, shark and other fish viewing at snorkelling.
