Reviews for The Mulia

Beautiful hotel

This was our third stay at The Mulia. Our room on the 5th floor overlooking the sea was amazing even if it was raining we could lay on the day bed and take in the view. The staff are second to none constantly wanting to help. Both the Table8 and Soleil restaurants are beautiful places to eat and are good value given their luxury surroundings. The only small criticism I would make is the afternoon tea set up.They have tried to combine a traditional afternoon tea with a cocktail evening and it just doesn't work. The seating arrangements are not comfortable as they use the breakfast dining room for the location. The Mulia doesn't have a comfortable lounge area whereas The Mulia resort is full of lounges. Also the timing of 4 to 6 pm is too early I feel the afternoon tea should be separated from the cocktail event and have a dedicated comfortable lounge area set at a later time. Given the luxury and sophistication of this hotel it shouldn't be hard to achieve.

Perfect getaway at the Mulia

The Mulia experience provided my wife and I an excellent time at the hotel. From the ocean view suite accommodations to the amenities of the resort including the beautiful calm waters at the beach, many dining options, spa and expansive gym were perfect. The service was also 5star with everyone on the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend

Incredible staff and facilities

Staff, service and resort were amazing. Everyone made us feel welcomed and were very friendly and accommodating. We stayed at Mulia suites and butler staff in particular were so lovely. The team work so hard to keep everything running seamlessly. Special shoutout to Ari, Adi, Romeo, Yudi, Robert, Teja, Nadya. I’ve likely missed a few names as everyone was fantastic. 🙏🏼

Great family trip with wonderful service and food

We had a great time at The Mulia! The pools and beach was very near, about 5 min walk from our room. The kids had a lot of fun swimming and playing with the sand. The food was good and there was a wide spread for breakfast buffet. The afternoon tea was free and was really good with free flow alcohol. Kids club was a huge attraction and filled with toys and an indoor playground, but would be great if it can be open later than 6pm! Gym also closes at 8pm so would be great if it could open later than that :) We would like to specially thank our butler, Robert, for his great service! We booked a photoshoot in the resort and Robert brought us to the nice photo spots. He was also very good with the kids. Thank you!!

Stayed 12 nights. I give it 4.6/5 will be back again

I stayed at the Mulia twice during my one month stay in Bali. First i stayed only for four days but after having such a great time in November, i decided to cancel another reservation in December and come back here. In total, I spent 12 night here. What I liked was that this resort was my exactly my style. It was clean. So clean that there weren’t any bugs, nor any mosquitoes or geckos. The staff kept the grounds impeccably clean. The resort is grand and walkable/wheelchair accessible but only to certain points. You will do a lot of walking. Just to get from the lobby to your room you will walk and walk and might have to take two elevators - one might be at a distance to the other. There are a lot of stairs so you can definitely get to places faster, but due to my recent knee injury, I tried to avoid any of the steps so it was a lot of walking - even just to get to breakfast. Breakfast was grand. Probably, one of my top 5 breakfasts at all the 5 star resorts in Asia - and i travel often. So many options from various countries of the world. My favorite was the fresh tuna and salmon and the dessert room. The resort has a cafe with beautiful cakes, coffee, breads, sandwiches, pies, drinks, awesome exotic gelato. Went here a few times to satisfy that sweettooth. There are 3 or 4 other restaurants - one being in the same room as breakfast in the morning. I tried their dinner buffet and was very happy. The seafood section was excellent. Also ate at a restaurant by the sea which was really good although pricey. There are 7 huge pools (5 huge) and 2 side pools you have your choice and space. What i didn’t like: The staff at front desk, supervisors are not exactly nice. It’s more like a factory when it comes to people working there. The wait for breakfast in the morning can take up to 30 minutes. You need to line up and wait to be seated. The room itself is huge and clean, beds are wonderful but for that price, it would be nice if they put in a sofa or two armchairs. Only one sitting chair provided. Also we had to request non slip shower mats as well as robes, and an extra luggage rack. Room service takes a longggg time. Except for one pool, all the other pools you need to take stairs to - if you have mobility issues. Also, if you want to use any floaties, you must pay. Not a lot of choices for dining by the pool, and the food was disappointing. 4.6/5
