There's a lot to love about this place: It's a gorgeous property - Everything feels modern and new. Warm textures and colors. Some really beautiful touches (the front desk). Oceanside is a charming town and is very walkable. Overall, the place is well-suited for couples and friends. Kids will be happier next door at the Seabird. Not having them around much added to the sophistication. Literally only saw one at the pool! The rooms have it all - We stayed in an oceanfront studio. It was very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Funky layout, too, if that's your thing. Toiletries are high quality but a little too female-scented for me. Bed felt great. The view is FANTASTIC, and yes, there's a street between you and the beach but it was never distracting. Staff is there for you - From the front desk to the rooftop bar to the housekeepers, everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and attentive. The rooftop rules - The pool is on the smaller side but the area never felt crowded, even for a Saturday. Wait staff was on top of it! Never had a long wait to be helped or served. Comfy loungers. But my fave part of the rooftop was the music. I'm a dance music connoisseur, and the Brazillian disco beats had me nodding my head the whole time. it added so much to the atmosphere. I came as an Amex Platinum. We didn't get a much of a room upgrade, which I get because of the category we were at. We were able to check in a little early but not by much. They were quick to make sure we had the 4pm checkout. Using the food credit is complicated, which leads to my only two small gripes.... The dining options are meh - The only place on property to get dinner is a tasting menu at almost $200 a person. C'mon now, really? Who is this restaurant for? Even if you were willing to drop the money, if you have dietary restrictions this is a no-go. You might be able to scrape a dinner together at the rooftop bar (which is fun and had a Saturday night DJ playing the R&B soundtrack of my dreams), but otherwise.....that's it. High/Low (can't use the Amex credit there) and Piper (next door) are daytime only. And room service choices are lacking to say the least. On Sunday morning there was only one entree to choose from. One entree! But hey, the Top Gun hand pies are really good! Honestly tho, what we did have was very delicious, especially the drinks. But I would highly recommend exploring the area because there are lots of great options within a short walking distance. Everything is LA prices - Oceanside doesn't give trendy vibes, but this place does. So while I'm sure it's nice to have a place like this there, I highly doubt you will catch any locals eating or drinking there with how much they charge for everything. That being said.....you do get what you pay for. There was an inherent quality to everything we ate and drank. I got an omelette at Piper and the veggies inside it tasted fresh and juicy. Did I mention the hand pies at the Top Gun house? I ate way too many. Overall, the place is a splurge. But Mission Pacific delivers a vibe that is upscale but relaxed. Just fancy enough but still welcoming. We will probably go back!

Beautiful resort, excellent customer service. Alexandra and Ibrahim were very sweet and helped make our stay special. The views are fantastic and our room was big and spacious. I can’t wait to return with the kids next time. I didn’t get a chance to check out the amenities at seabird but will next time.

Horrible staff no hospitality and they don’t care to learn disappointed in how they treat the locals and guest. I hope that they have a chance in the near future with anybody stay because it was a horrible experience and they were absolutely rude and there’s no hospitality in that hotel

Great hotel. Wish they wouldn’t have had the fire alarm go off in the middle of the night and force evacuation of the entire hotel. After being evacuated, it would have been nice if I could have gotten back into my room - the door from the stairwell was locked and I couldn’t get back in. Had to go all the way back down from the 7th floor and take the elevator again.

We had a lovely stay at Mission Pacific and Seabird. Both properties offer excellent amenities, thoughtful design, and a great selection of dining options. Thanks to the warm and attentive staff, our experiences at the Rooftop Bar, High/Low, and Piper were especially memorable. However, there were a few moments that fell short of expectations. During a late-night fire alarm, there was a noticeable absence of staff to guide or reassure guests, leading to confusion during the evacuation and re-entry. Additionally, the check-out experience lacked the polished hospitality we expected, with minimal engagement from the front desk team. We enjoyed our visit overall.
