Nestled in the bohemian enclave of Ojai is the historic Ojai Valley Inn, a luxurious retreat that has been one of California’s most revered destinations since opening in 1923. Located just 90 minutes north of Los Angeles, the resort overlooks the unspoiled natural beauty of its mountain surroundings and celebrates the relaxed glamour of California’s past to create an unparalleled resort experience that is quintessentially Ojai. The resort recently turned the page to a new chapter with the unveiling of enhancements that further elevate the resort experience while remaining true to its authentic spirit and include: chic outdoor oasis, Indigo Pool; new signature restaurant Olivella; the thoughtfully refreshed, historic Wallace Neff Heritage Bar, and Libbey’s, a fresh artisan market, café and boutique.

Our 4-night stay at Ojai Valley Inn was just what we needed - time to rest, enjoy fantastic food at various venues, and partake in spa treatments. We did not use the gym, tennis courts or golf course but they are clearly welled staffed and popular. Overall, the architecture and layout reminded me of a wonderful Portuguese resort I visited. One benefit was location - a quick 10 minute walk to downtown and minutes away by car to numerous hiking/biking trails. We choose to visit Montecito one day and it was a gorgeous 45-minute drive. Room: This is a large property with numerous configurations. Think about what is important to you - views, proximity to the Spa or Dining, seclusion, size, fireplace, price - and then get feedback for the reservations team. Services: We took the opportunity to walk every where on the property but there are frequent shuttles throughout the day. The Artist Colony is a fun place to visit and turn on your creative side. Finally, there were many people enjoying their stay with their pooches - so dog friendly!

What an amazing location. We were blown away by the exceptional staff and abundance of activities available (i.e. horseback riding, beekeeping, jeep tours + more), and the great food. This is an awesome place to gather with friends, for couples trip, with your family, or even a business offsite. Can't wait to come back and share the experience with others.

If you want tranquility, serenity and fabulous service, Ojai Valley Inn always delivers. Though my husband and I don't play golf or tennis, we just love the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere. Their spa is my haven for re-setting my body and mind. The food at their dining venues is delicious, with unparalleled service. Being only 2 hours north of Los Angeles, it is the perfect getaway.

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) has been coming to Ojai Valley Inn to celebrate Thanksgiving for the last 3 years and loved it there. Except for this year. The tennis center on the property charges $10.00/person incl kids to play tennis in special "tennis" shoes on their courts. They also charge $10.00 extra for a racket rental. Artist cottage used to have a family hour in the morning from 10-11am when the kids and their parents were able to come and make special crafts at no cost. Now they charge $18.00/person for each gift. The same Artist Cottage used to have a time in the afternoon, around 3-4pm, when anybody could come in to make potpourri scent packages made with lavender and other scents. They would also pour a complimentary glass of wine for adults too. It was lovely and relaxing! This hour doesn't exist anymore and the cheapest craft costs a min $78.00. I believe that for the amount of money Ojai Valley Inn charges for a stay these little experiences should remain at no cost for its guests and not be considered an extra cost. Due to this price increase policy Ojai Valley Inn lost a valuable family customer just to make a few bucks. Short-term thinking over a long-term thinking. Very disappointing!!!

Everything about this property is 5 star! From the incredible guest service, to the delicious farm to table cuisine, the incredible spa, high quality golf course and the picturesque views at every corner! We came the first week of December and we felt as if we had the whole resort to ourselves! We have never felt more relaxed on a vacation! Yes this property is a luxury expense but it was worth every penny! I will be dreaming about coming back to this property!
