Hotel Deco

The building and decor were delightful. I enjoyed walking the area and seeing other buildings that were nice examples of Art Deco. My room was on the 11th floor with lots of space and a nice view. The Old Market area was within easy walking distance. Unfortunately staff training and maintenance need some attention. When I checked in I was told the restaurant was open for dinner but didn't find out they served breakfast until I came down at 9:20am and was told breakfast ended at 9am. I also had to call down to get the wifi password because that was not provided at check in. When I asked for recommendations for restaurants I got very vague directions and ended up walking several blocks out of my way and having to ask for directions again. The desk attendance is the same person who provides valet for the cars which means no one at the desk for periods of time while they are parking/unparking and help with my luggage was not readily available. In my room the safe was locked and would not open, the shower leaked badly onto the floor, the shower controls were confusing and the temperature adjustment knob was not working correctly. The mirror light in the bathroom would not turn on. While I enjoyed the building and decor, the rest of the experience made this a very average experience.

The hotel was clean. Great room. Carlos, front desk guy was the best… checked in early and worked his magic to get us in… Only constructive feedback… 2 hooks in the bathroom:) Location is great! Valet guys are great! Location is perfect. Workout area is lovely. Need 5/10 pound weights though…

This hotel stay was fantastic! Starting with our super booking by Denise, careful and exact valet service with Thomas, and a delicious dinner with Amanda, I recommend this experience to everyone. Don't forget to ask about The Looking Glass and the secrets within! 5 Stars

Tomorrow, I will check in for my first visit to Hotel Deco. I'm bringing my son to a concert at a local venue, and I had several questions about parking, dining, and area attractions. I was fortunate enough to speak with Denise, who was fantastic at providing all the information I needed for each concern. I'm looking forward to our stay. Greg Keal

I am writing soley based on my experience with the Front Desk Clerk Denise. She was vibrant, has an amazing personality, & made us feel at home. I travel a lot for business & while I've had great experiences with other staff over the years this gal is a keeper that I can tell brings amazing energy day in, day out.
