The celebrated Grand Bohemian Hotel takes an unconventional and cutting-edge approach to hospitality. Its collection of artwork and selection of live entertainment makes it one of Orlando's most legendary and sophisticated retreats. This AAA Four-Diamond Award destination is a truly stylish find. Grand Bohemian Hotel boasts a gallery of guest rooms and suites draped in rich, velvety fabrics offset by deep and dramatic hues. Spacious bathrooms are big enough for traveling twosomes to share, and an in-room stash of Starbucks coffee allows you to lounge before dressing and heading out for the day.

I plan travel for members of the private club of which I am employed to renowned wine destinations around the world. Luxury hotel selection is always a first step in setting itinerary. My expectation at this price point is top-notch anticipatory service. While the cost at this hotel meets these parameters, I would place the staff at Grand Bohemian at the bottom end of this spectrum. By design this hotel is at a loss to begin with as the street noise is extremely loud and is exaggerated by emergency services being located somewhere nearby. Obviously this is a necessary service. The issue is that there is little or no sound proofing in the rooms. The sirens, which are common, are blaring and will wake you even if you sleep like a log. Another issue I ran into with noise is that my suite was located next to a bank of elevators. I honestly thought housekeeping was located above my room and the staff were working throughout the night rolling a cart back and forth above my room. In re to food and beverage, I dined at The Boheme restaurant twice. Food quality met expectations at this level but table maintenance was not a priority. If I hadn’t asked for our table to be cleared plates from each course would have piled up. This morning I had breakfast at the same restaurant. The hostess was eventually flushed out of the back hallway to seat us. While we ate the atmospheric music was drowned out by the staff jabbering away loudly and the cacophony of silverware being sorted in the same hallway where the hostess hides out. When I was leaving the restaurant there were more guests waiting to be seated at an unattended hostess stand. I do not blame the staff for the service we received. This falls squarely on the management and specifically on the General Manager. I will stay at the Alfond in Winter Park moving forward instead of using my points at this second class attempt at excellence.

Check in is tedious and needs more attention. Folks waiting in a small busy lobby and no official concierge for a luxury property seems kind of crazy and cheap. Rooms are well proportioned and clean (no waters in rooms for elite members). Took a cold shower first night, it took 15 mins for hot water to start coming out of the shower head. So got up to fly the next day and cut on shower for a while to let it “warm up”. The bar is SO LOUD, need sound proofing and better lighting as the ones they have aren’t really conducive to the space.

Excellent staff, comfortable and well appointed room, Beautiful gym and pool deck, delicious food. The restaurant is very, very busy, so expect a European tempo, and enjoy. The hotel is walking distance from many important places and highly convenient.

The hotel has a real party vibe which if you like that you will love this place. The pool was rocking like a night club a 2 in the afternoon. Really amazing people watching but not a place for kids. WiFi was terrible. Bed were comfortable and the ability to text and get items from housekeeping was awesome. The bottles water at check in was also a great touch. Great location walkable to lots of great food options

The entire hotel has a luxurious, sultry, sexy feel. It was a wonderful choice for a romantic getaway to celebrate our anniversary. We spent time at the bar and the pool lounge. Enjoyed the “pink”cocktail, in honor of Breast Cancer awareness. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We were lucky enough to catch the downtown fireworks show they had going on due to Gay Pride parade. (Other events in the area going on in October included the Orlando City Soccer game and “Romeo & Juliet”. The grand piano was also a highlight which played Sonotas for several hours. We missed the amazing brunch due to it being sold out. Be sure to book in advance! I’v celebrated my bachelorette party here and returned for an anniversary. It’s a beautiful hotel and will be back again.
