Nice rooms, loud ambiance late into the night

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Stayed here for three nights this past December. Was prepared for the onslaught of noise that has been noted on here. Requested a high floor away from any noise. My room faced the pool. More noise there than I'm assuming faced the street, although downtown Orlando has a large number of first responder vehicles up and down the street at all hours. The pool was like a nightclub with the thumping of bass going on late. The rooms and amenities are nice enough, but for the price and the hotel's location I'm not sold. The valet is busy and a mess. I parked across the street in the office building lot. Fairly reasonable on the weekends despite appearing closed it's not. Did not enjoy the smell of weed exiting the hotel on multiple occasions.

Hiring the right people is important in customer service

The checkin process was rough, to say the least, because the young gentleman at the check-in desk was very difficult to understand, and placed us in a totally unsatisfactory room where the window looked directly at the back of the bartender of the poolside bar, along with a stack of beer bottles, and empty wine bottles. However, when requested we were moved up to a higher floor with a much more satisfactory view of the downtown person of Orlando. Overall, this hotel is magnificent with its in-house restaurant bar and poolside club .

Location is great, we walked right over to the Dr. Phillips Performing Center. The suite was very nice, nice view, very comfortable. Great one night stay. All the staff were really nice. Would love to stay there again. The valet was very professional and nice.

Beautiful Place to Stay Downtown

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I love this hotel. I stayed here in June when I was in town for a show, and when I got tickets to a comedy show at the Dr Phillips Center, I knew I had to stay again. I traveled with my sister, and we made a weekend out of it. The hotel is in an ideal spot to serve as your home base while visiting downtown. Everyone we met on the staff was super nice and helpful. Sometimes arrival and luggage and check-in can be stressful when traveling, but the Valet and Front Desk staff made everything super easy, and we were parked, checked in and had luggage in no time at all. The valet also offers tipping via text, which is great when you are low on cash. The rooms are spacious and everything smells amazing. I love that the hotel has color and art and actual decor and is not just gray/beige boring with stainless steel and glass. Views of the city are very cool, I didn't find the room overly noisy. Bathroom was a little on the small side, no exhaust fan, so it can get a little swampy when the shower runs, but that's a pretty minor issue. Towels are huge. Beds were very comfortable, pillows were great. Housekeeping came late afternoon, but was very efficient and left the room nice and clean. Having a full-service Starbucks downstairs was great, it was super convenient to be able to order coffee from the app before heading down to get it. The onsite restaurant and bar are great, the piano player in the lobby really made it feel like a special place to stay in the middle of Orlando.
