The Westin Ottawa

Very clean, beautiful hotel close to everything such as the Rideau Centre, Byward market, Chateau Laurier, Parliament buildings, restaurants . Room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Nice shower ! Fitness room, salt water pool and hot tub were some of the amenities . The staff were always pleasant and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend and would highly recommend this hotel.

This was my first time visit to this hotel. The staff was exceptional in all areas of service. I have stayed at other hotels in Ottawa, but The Westin has become my go to hotel. Thanks to all of the staff for making this visit such an enjoyable experience.

First visit For family Business to this hotel in Ottawa. Compared to other hotels in this area the price per room was reasonable Booked two rooms and was able to get connecting rooms. In addition to reasonably priced room a hotel location itself was the main reason for choosing. It’s central location access to the shopping centre nearby i’m good room size and great view of the building and surrounding area from large window Furniture is a bit dated with some stain on the chairs, but overall the size of the room and comfort of the furniture and bed would make up for the datedness . We did not eat at the hotel restaurant since we were so close to the shopping mall and the food court, they have many cheaper options One small courtesy I requested a microwave, but never received it even though I was promised it will be sent up. After my second request, I give up, but that was not a big issue since I might’ve used it less than I thought. I assumed it would be nice if the front desk at kola and ask if everything was going OK with the microwave and that will give me the opportunity to let them know I never received it. Overall hotel staff is very friendly. Parking was a challenge many times and was the, biggest con, but that should be expected given it central location and demand for parking. I will return this Hotel I’ve been find the pros significantly outnumbered the cons

Have stayed here many, many times over the years so thought it was time to write a review. This is probably the best hotel for business in Ottawa. Is it pretty and aesthetically pleasing inside? No. But the rooms are good, decent sized, with good work spaces. It has everything you want in a hotel room: good desk, lots of plugs, good sized closet, coffee maker, robes, slippers, etc. Also there is a good sized mini fridge in every room. If you are there on a longer stay, the staff will accept grocery delivery and call up to your room. The bathrooms are all very spacious with good walk in showers and typical bathroom amenities. The gym is quite good - lots of cardio equipment and free weights. There are actually two areas to the gym which isn't obvious so take a look around if you are a gym goer. Gym is far superior to the Chateau's gym. The pool is fine but small. If you want a proper pool, stay at the Chateau (it has 20 yard pool). Dalys for breakfast - pretty good and not terribly overpriced if you do a la carte. There is also the dalys express for coffee and a snack. The Westin has an entrance directly into the mall (Rideau Centre) which is very convenient. Overall it's a good hotel - not fabulous - but reliably good.

As Marriott Bonvoy members, we've been here several times! It's so centrally located to everything, and attached to the large Rideau Centre. It's easily accessible by car, although the parking lot can get quite packed since it is part of the Rideau Centre parking. You are close to everything here! Byward Market, Sparks Street, Parliament Buildings, restaurants, shopping, and more! Max, who checked us in, was so welcoming and personable! He got us squared away quickly in our room. We did have an issue with the safe, but the maintenance manager was up to us quickly. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it, but quickly got us settled in another room. Very helpful and accommodating! Our room (king) was large, as always, but looking a little worse for wear. Definitely need a refresh and update! Stains on the chairs, old carpet and drapes. But all in all clean, and comfortable. (We were told that they will be going through a major renovation soon in their rooms.) We visit Daly's for breakfast, and the food is delicious! A la carte or buffet, which are great options. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. What a joy! Definitely our go to hotel in Ottawa!
