Reviews for Amani Boutique Hotel

Lovely, clean hotel offering peace and serenity

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Lovely hotel with fabulous staff who made our stay so welcome. It’s a small resort so you never feel overrun and is nice and quiet. The whole resort is also very clean and rooms are extremely well kept. Ability to walk the beach into the main Paje area is great. Thank you to Robert, Alfred and everyone else who made us feel so welcome.

Wonderful, relaxing hotel with best-in-class staff

We had an amazing stay at the Amani! The hotel is a perfect place for an adults-only, quiet, relaxing stay. The location was a bit outside of Paje (20 minute walk along the beach), and there were limited options for dining because of the location, but dinner is included so that meant we had a quiet, delicious dinner every night. The view of the pool, grounds, and beautiful beach were beautiful. There were lounges chairs on the beach and pool and enough for every guest - a first for us! The only downside was the large construction project next door. It didn't really affect us, but we talked to several guests who were placed in rooms with a view of the construction and a jack hammer pounding all day long. They were equally frustrated that they had not been informed in advance. Also, the hotel lists itself as a 5-star hotel. It is not, though it is certainly very nice. What really sets the Amani apart is the incredible staff. We felt pampered as if we were in a typical 5-star hotel. In particular, Hamad helped us unwind and relax from the moment we arrived until we left; Alfred was amazing with his attentiveness and constant joy; Robert never stopped anticipating what we might want or need next. We highly recommend this hotel, though you'd probably want to check in advance to make sure you have a room that is not facing the project next door (it looks like many months of work left ahead). Thank you Amani team for a wonderful 8 days! We can't wait to return.

Paradise pure

A small hotel which merits five stars in all aspects. Well trained staff from the pool boy, over the maids to the waiters and receptionists - all with heartwarming friendliness. Beautiful appointed large rooms - rooms 9, 10, 11 on the first floor with stunning views Turn down service in the evening - like in luxury places Delicious varied 4-course dinners served at the table Affordable professional massage A glaring-white sandy beach and beautiful sea two minutes walk away (when the tide is out, the water is far away though). No doubt that we would stay at this place again, should we ever come back.

An excellent, well run Hotel - highly recommend.

AMANI Boutique Hotel is an excellent choice - The small Hotel, the Beach setting and the Staff all First class. We stayed 10 nights which is probably a little unusual and found the dinner menu repetitive but overall very nice. Breakfast was always a good experience and highly rate all of the staff. In fact from front of house to the maintenance and cleaners - everything to recommend it. However, as a writer for Tripadvisor I need to mention the building works to the adjoining plot. Just behind the Restaurant a new complex is being built. In our first week it was mainly hammering but then the Jack Hammer rock breaker was working all day. Hopefully the hotel will do the right thing and advise future holiday makers as this work will be ongoing for some considerable time.

Good but not great

In March 2024, we stayed at Amani Boutique Hotel, expecting a high standard given its association with Hyatt’s Small Luxury Hotels of the World. While our experience wasn’t bad, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The hotel was clean, but our room was quite small, and the bathroom was simple rather than luxurious. Check in was a bit too formal and structured, which made the process feel less welcoming. The food was acceptable, but the limited variety left us wanting more options. One of the main letdowns was the beach, it wasn’t as beautiful as we had hoped, so we often walked to a nearby beach to enjoy the clear turquoise waters of Paje. Overall, it was a decent stay, but we expected a bit more in terms of comfort, atmosphere, and overall experience.
