Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo

Sofitel Legend is a gem of a hotel. Well appointed, comfortable, nice swimming pool and staff that does their best to make you happy. We stayed there for a week. I’d like to mention two staff standouts. are Daniel Bernal and Carlos Morant. Daniel is a waiter in the pool area. He was always attentive and anticipated our needs Some examples: water refills, towels and charging my phone. He is lovely and went above and beyond and made our pool time extra enjoyable. Carlos is a major domo. In addition to giving helpful information about our the hotel and our room and Casco Viejo, when he didn’t know the answer to one of the many questions I asked - this was about the translation for an ingredient in the welcome drink, he researched it, and looked for me the next day to let me know the answer. Sofitel Legend and their guests are fortunate to have the services of employees such as these

Our stay to celebrate NYE at the Sofitel Legend was very enjoyable. Valeting our car was a breeze. At check-in our butler Orlando made sure everything we needed was available to us. A beautiful hotel on the water with a friendly and helpful staff. The food was very delicious food and service was quick. Enjoyed the bar service at each of the Sofitel's bars. The bartenders and drinks make you want to have more. The spa service was nice with the masseuse applying the right amount of pressure. It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend the Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo.

Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. There was one night that our room was noisy due to a wedding at the hotel but the butlers were very apologetic. Other than that, it was an incredible experience. Highly recommend.

I stayed in room 509 with a magnificent view across to sea to the high-rise buildings of the more modern side of the city. We arrived 26 December and stayed for four days. The room is exactly as per the photos and in well maintained. There was a faint musty smell on arrival, but as the room was so pretty and the view so magnificent, I hoped it might go if the doors to the terrace were left open. That actually made things a lot worse! Within five minutes the floor was actually wet and very slippy from the moisture (but yet it did not feel humid outside, in fact if was cool!). The bed was super comfy, but the sheets did feel oddly damp! My friend who had recommended the hotel after her stay was in a room on the second floor overlooking the pool and was very surprised to hear of my experience. Other than sleeping in a musty smelling room with damp sheets, I loved every other aspects of the hotel (they make the best cocktails in town and their cafe offers amazing food, cakes and coffee!!). Just don't leave the doors to the terrace open unless you don't mind damp sheets!!

Beautifil and very comfortable rooms with spectacular views to the bay of Panama and Panama City. Excellent attention and service to guests. Very convenient location with very near walking distance to all eating and entretainment places in Casco Viejo.
