We stayed 4 nights over new years'24 to '25 at the Coral and 2 nights at the Comfort Suites down the street. While they are supposedly totally different class of hotels, I would say we overall preferred comfort suites. Pros: -view of string rays from the room -view of fireworks from room on NYE - chopstix restaurant DWIGHT was simply superb -nice refillable water bottle but water refill stations do not work Cons - rude staff overall/ no one greets you - there is constant monitoring of wristbands and movement( felt watched) - dated rooms - no hot water at 5pm everyday since everyone is back from the water park and getting ready for dinner - water smells and tastes bad - no breakfast - everything is hella expensive! This was a hard experience and we have stayed at several high end Mexican all inclusive - bed was not good, gave us major body ache

We just returned from our trip between Christmas and New Years 2024. We stayed in 2 rooms in the Coral Towers Reef wing. First, the positives. After customs, the shuttle service we had arranged through Atlantis was easy to check in to and prompt. On arriving at the resort, the front desk staff/check in was amazing. We were given 2 water bottles for each room but on seeing there were 5 of us, they gave us 1 extra (oops, we weren't supposed to tell). They did a very good job of describing the resort, giving directions and setting us up for the week. I had called ahead to request adjoining rooms and was told they would get us as close as possible. We were 2 doors away from each other so very close. There was no shortage of things to do and see. We went to multiple different pools, took advantage of the water park, used the beach and used the casino and multiple restaurants. I had made reservations at the time we booked for 2 restaurants (Nobu and Carmines) but got a phone call 3 weeks before the trip to see if I needed any help booking entertainment or dining, which I thought was nice. Everyone, from the service staff to the waiters to bell services was both helpful and friendly. It was very easy to get towels every morning. I also felt there were an abundance of chairs both at the pools and at the beach. It was crowded, between the holiday and the cruisers who had excursions there. But we were always able to find a place to sit (a little harder the closer you got to Aquaventure, but even there we got seats). Drinks at the bars were not watered down. Strongest drinks I've ever had at a resort and totally unexpected for the price. Finally, they had free water refilling stations in multiple locations in the park and the hotel. And the ice cream place in the Coral had free refills of coffee. Much appreciated! Now, the negatives. The resort is in dire need of an upgrade. From tile in the bathrooms to paint in the rooms and halls to even the sliding glass doors of the patio. Everything screams old. The library, which is a great space between towers in the Coral, has books and games and computers for the kids to play. But Monopoly was missing all the pieces and Scrabble had 4 total tiles. This could be a great place to hang out after hours but definitely needs some TLC. I thought the pools and water park could have stayed open a little later, especially considering it was a holiday. 5 pm seemed a little early to me. Once they closed, the options for activities and quick service food decreased significantly. Even if it stayed open until 6, we could have gotten a burger poolside before heading back to the room. The cost is the cost. Not going to gripe about that. But between the 10% VAT and the automatic 15% tip (which only 1 restaurant that we ate at was open about), the added costs were substantial. It's not to say that I would not have tipped because for the most part, the service was excellent. But by adding the 15% tip on the bill, I was less likely to go 18-20%. Overall a great trip that I would highly recommend. I booked the trip through the Atlantis website (hotel, airfare and transport together) and the process was easy and without error. Website was easy to navigate and helpful and informative

Service is not friendly, personal rude is very rude, I asked as soon as I got there for a room change, this was denied, “ I was told to wait to see if there was a cancellation for other people that was expected until the next day, mattresses are old and uncomfortable, so you won’t have a good sleep during your visit … several guest had the same experience. Pool was out of service and prepared to WALK.. everything is far away
