The entire stay was incredible. We had plans to go out our second night and went back to H61. We had such an amazing time we wrote down names of the staff. Yaz, Catrina, and Landon at the bar were awesome. Chris, Annesa, Edgar, and Kristana were great during dinner. We also thought Jimmy was very nice when the baked goods weren’t quite ready. Again, amazing stay.

Mountain Shadows is a large resort that hosts a lot of conferences and weddings. The room was large and comfortable, and has an unusual wet room shower that is almost like a display case in the room. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. Our room was clean, but many people who stay there seem to bring fast food (pizza, McDonalds etc.) back to their rooms and then leave the bags and boxes outside their rooms, which sometimes remain there for hours. I do not like smelling old fast food remnants when walking back to my room. The restaurant was very good and reasonably priced for Scottsdale. There is a fun, cute, short golf course but there is a lot of time pressure on the course. After checking out we were billed for a bottle of wine which the hotel claimed we had opened and drank half. We absolutely had not (and in fact were there with a friend with a very highly rated cult winery who had a wine dinner in Scottsdale, we literally could have had an endless supply of excellent wine had we wanted it). We contested this and finally the hotel agreed to remove the charge under protest, calling it "disputed" rather than admitting that the cleaning or minibar staff had made a mistake on the room number or someone working there had drunk it. The hotel would seem much nicer without fast food wrappers, bags, boxes and odors in the hallways.

We are in Scottsdale often and changed to this hotel. We were very impressed. Great comfortable quirt room. Nice bar and restaurant. Super location. We will be back. New building clean and happy employees. Didn’t play gold but plan to Next time!

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Mountain Shadows Resort, and it was truly exceptional. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Being local to the area, we love various "staycations" and have been to most of the resorts around Phoenix and Scottsdale, and this was our favorite so far. We had a beautiful room facing the wedding venue and Camelback Mountain. Large glass shower in the middle with a tub in a nook facing the mountain. Our dinner was wonderful and the next day we had a cabana by the pool. A special shout out to Jason, the manager working the pool that day, who went out of his way to help us create a wonderful memory. His professionalism and care made us feel like VIPs'. Kenzie was our server by the pool and provided outstanding service- attentive, friendly, and always ensuring we had everything we needed. At the bar, Landon and Brittany were fantastic, crafting delicious drinks. Every detail was handled with care from check-in to check-out. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special occasion. We will definitely be back and it will become our annual go-to for our anniversary.
