A long tradition of excellence in the art of living awaits you in this grand 19th-century building. It was in this grand building, home of the legendary Jockey Club, that the Lumière brothers showcased their cinema invention in 1895. Joséphine Baker and many other renowned visitors have enjoyed the luxurious suites. It was here that chef Sébastien Crison obtained his first Michelin star for his blend of French gastronomy and creativity. The Scribe keeps that legacy alive today. In its elegant rooms and suites, its public and reception areas, new generations of personalities are even now adding chapters to the hotel's history.

Beautiful little hotel with a perfect location! Our room had a queen bed, a little bit smaller than expected, but very comfortable especially the pillows! The room amenities are excellent. The guest service was very quick and efficient in responding. We loved the breakfast buffet complete with delicious freshly baked croissants and a wonderful selection of staple breakfast foods. The staff were very friendly and accomodating especially Mr. Christophe who was extremely cheerful and welcoming, wonderful to talk to! There was another lady waitress that was also very nice and attentive, unfortunately we did not get her name, we have to ackowledge her as well. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Situated on a quiet street; central to many of Paris’ major sites. The Hotel, Staff and Room provide a beautiful 5 star experience. We enjoyed and appreciated the expertise of the Concierge staff. This was our first visit to this Hotel, we will return.

This review is for Rivages within Scribe Hotel. We booked afternoon tea. The staff are friendly and attentive. The savoury part of the tea was disappointing, it consisted of a small cube of salmon, a small square of toast with fois gras (both delicious but very small) and another small piece of fried bread with a filling so lacking in flavour we couldn’t guess what it was. All the sweet pastries were good and there were plenty. If you are expecting high tea of the type you get in other hotels you may be disappointed. A second cup of tea was cost 10 euros.
