Le Bristol Paris

A very few hotels are rated amongst the best in the world and Le Bristol is easily in that rare and select group. Fabulous hotel with an amazing team across every department but a special thanks to Hélène in the concierge team who was an absolute star when my wife was ill. I wouldn’t wish her illness on anyone but if you were poorly anywhere then there is no finer place. It’s also absolutely superb when you are well too! Beautiful room overlooking the garden, meticulous attention to detail including a nespresso machine and kettle finished in matching cream leather. Overall, the hotel effortlessly manages to convey intimacy and care in a building with 100+ bedrooms. Fantastic.

As a luxury travel advisor in the business for almost 20 years, I have been fortunate to stay at many luxury properties around the world. Le Bristol is quite simply the best. From arrival to departure you feel as though you are enveloped in a warm cocoon of luxury without the pretension of many of the palace hotels. Arrival is always seamless, the concierge cannot be rivaled, the pool is truly special and dining is always a treat at any venue you choose. This is all wonderful, but it’s the staff that makes Le Bristol what it is. Everyone is kind, caring and genuinely wants to assist. From the porters to management, no request is too big or too small. Yes, it’s expensive. But it’s worth every penny. Thank you, Hotel Le Bristol.

We were so utterly shocked and disappointed at the hotel. After researching hotels for months I decided to stay there instead of the Four Seasons where we have always gone. What a huge mistake. We arrived to the beautiful lobby but then were escorted up to the room. I called several times before booking this trip and spoke to the concierge. I was shocked that the room had not been renovated in probably 40 years. Paint peeling and no jack even to plug in a phone. We called down and they brought me an extension cord as if that could fix the horrible room. They did offer after going to the lobby to speak to the concierge to move us to a renovated room if one opened later . We were so exhausted and the idea of waiting to see if another one opened up was beyond stressful so we checked out and went to the superb Four Seasons Hotel. It is important to state here that I was paying top dollar for this suite. There was no mention during my booking or calls about the condition of the room. Be very careful. It ruined our first day in Paris after a long flight. I will upload photos on a different post because no one would believe it otherwise.

Our entire stay was lovely from start to finish. We stayed for 3 nights in an Executive Room. Our room was ready when we arrived (which is always a plus), and they had pastries and chocolates waiting on us. (The L’Epicerie on the property is fabulous! Everything I tried was delicious.) Our bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was a nice size for 2 people. A lot of European hotel rooms feel tiny, and this room was a great size for a couple. It also had ample closet space. The concierge team kindly helped us with dinner reservations and it was so nice not having to worry about doing it ourselves. The American Breakfast at Cafe Antonia was wonderful. Every staff member we encountered was kind and courteous.

Gorgeous pre Christmas three day romantic break with husband. So well located and with the most fabulously helpful staff. Nothing was too much of a problem- elegant surroundings and very comfortable stay
