Since its inception in 1928, the Prince de Galles has stood out as a beacon of sophistication and grace in Paris. The hotel is located on Avenue George V, a 5-minute walk from the Champs Elysées and Avenue Montaigne, as well as some of the most celebrated landmarks including the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower.

This was our second visit to this hotel! The shining star is the staff here. They are always helpful and they go out of their way to make your visit special! The entire team at breakfast from hostess to the servers are incredible! Rooms are clean, albeit bit small but that Paris for you. Its art deco style so they tend to be a little dark but can use more lights/better brighter lamps. Also not enough drinking water is provided in the rooms as bottles too small. Other than that, no issues. All around great location and staff! Highly recommend!

The biggest disappointment is breakfast, only a’la carte with limited choice and selection. You order fruit yoghurt and have flavor at random. They charge for each item separately and although if you can afford staying there price is not a concern still paying for a cap of Americano, small glass of orange juice, toast and fruit yoghurt more that for a dinner with wine and dessert at a decent restaurant - looks like a robbery to me. If you have status at their Bonvoy program – forget about benefits. Upgrade is not even considered and while I was offered so called “late” check out at 2 pm, they sent me a message late night before the departure that I have to check out before noon. To add insult into injury at the check out I was told that I could ignore this message. And finally small things like claustrophobic elevators, one of the them out of order for the entire stay, broken main gate (also for the entire stay), several staff members at the entrance who seem to block the entrance rather than actually giving you hand, daily twice a day fire alarm for 5 minutes each and noisy constructions on both sides of the hotel. If you are looking for a really comfortable and pleasant stay – consider alternatives.

Amazing experience, right from check in to the room and onto breakfast each morning. The service was excellent and the people go out of their way to make you feel at home. Didn’t have a chance to use the other amenities. The front desk acknowledged the Marriott plat status and upgraded us.

Before getting into the specifics of the hotel itself, I need to give a major shout-out to the front desk staff. Shortly after my husband and I arrived at Charles de Gaulle airport to return to the US, we realized that he had left his passport in the hotel safe in our room. We called the hotel in a total panic, but they totally had our backs! The front desk arranged for someone to go to the room we had just checked out of, retrieve my husband's passport from the safe, then they put it in a taxi and told the driver to take it to the airport to meet us. Oh, and they gave us the cab driver's name and phone number, and gave him ours as well. Forty minutes later, we had the passport in hand and what could have been a disaster instead became an awesome experience. Merci, merci, merci!! As far as the hotel itself, the rooms and amenities were as lovely as the service was impeccable. Upon check-in, we were treated to a tour and brief history of the 100 year old art deco hotel, and also introduced to the hostess staff at the restaurants. We had the pleasure of dining at both restaurants. Restaurant Bar 19.20 by Norbert Tarayre featured modern takes on classic French cuisine, prepared by the winner of Top Chef France. Akira Back offered fabulous Japanese cuisine and sushi. We also did room service for breakfast once or twice, and each time our meal arrived promptly and perfectly prepared. As I mentioned, can't say enough good things about the staff - from front desk, to helpful concierge, to restaurant hostesses and wait staff, to housekeeping - who always seemed to know exactly when we were out of the room long enough for it to be serviced. We never came back to an unkempt space! The location in the 8th arrondissement can't be beat, love being able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees. All this and Marriott Bonvoy points, too! If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. Can't wait to come back.

Outstanding service from every individual working at the hotel. Concierge helped us to obtain tickets and refer us to restaurants. The location could not have been better. The included breakfast was delicious and the pastries perfectly baked would definitely stay here again
