Reviews for The Chateaux Deer Valley

Not Great

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I might be the only person who didn't think this hotel was great. I stayed in a King-Bed Room and it was tiny and claustrophobic. There wasn't anywhere to really sit and relax other than the bed. My room was located farthest away from the lobby: down multiple hallways and behind 2 sets of doors (in a corner). It felt isolated from any help or service. The setup also felt like a fire hazard. For whatever reason I kept having this terrifying thought that if the place caught fire, there would be no way out for many guests given the tight layout and odd clusters of rooms with only one way out. In addition, I didn't like that the drive-up experience meant going into a garage. The room service menu was very limited. No real views to enjoy. The property overall is dated and dingy looking with chips on baseboards everywhere and an old rickety elevator. I was uncomfortable staying at this property for multiple reasons and I wouldn't return. Normally I would leave it at that. But I felt compelled to write this review given the steep price tag of my room. I paid $1100/night for a room and experience that was worth about $400/night max.

Great Service & Care

I was blown away by the service from Edward at the front desk. I asked for a room change and he went above and beyond to accommodate me. Really top notch service! The other staff also treat you with the upmost respect and kindness. Love The Chateaux.

Terrific Trip

We rented a 3 bedroom residence unit for 4 days during Christmas week.. The staff did everything we needed, including shopping for groceries and wine, driving to Park City, and arranging meals. Rooms were big and clean. The Deer Valley ski area was a 2 minute walk away. And they stored our skis on slope for free. The skiing at Deer Valley was superb and most slopes and lifts were open. The Cena restaurant was excellent with terrific staff. We plan to return next year.

Gorgeous fall getaway

The 1 bedroom suites are gorgeous & comfortable! The food is exceptional & the staff outstanding. I highly recommend The Chateaux for both business & pleasure. We've stayed there for both. They are fantastic event hosts. When we've stayed as a family, our kids loved the huge breakfast & s'mores. The pool area is just ok. Not great.

Excellent service!

The planning coordinator, event coordinator, catering and AV were al fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend hosting an event here. The property is amazing and so magical being up in the mountains, my group really enjoyed themselves. The Shuttle service is fantastic, and such a great benefit for the guests.
