When did 1,600 $ US not get you a luxury room? The room was large and clean the bed comfortable but that was it. When booking we had seen a Nespresso machine so we thought great we would take our own pods to get a decent coffee as well as our own tea bags ,essentials for brits. However, when we got to the room the machines had been changed to take Australia coffee which even the staff said they wouldn’t drink. There were no snack in the room as previous guests had mentioned clearly the hotel was cutting back on frills shame not reflected in the room price. However, the room had other issues the lock kept breaking not letting us back in . It took ages to get help and they blamed us for leaving the privacy light on which we did not. Finally they admitted the locks were shortly due to be changed. Breakfast - buffet style and fairly poor since when did breakfast not included a juice - this was extra coffee undrinkable no matter how it was prepared. as it was extra gave up after three attempts. Bacon was amazing. They hotel has an in house ski equipment hire but they gave me badly damaged skis which were a nightmare and when we had to come back because of the strike at park city I was handed back the faulty equipment They say in the reviews only 5 minutes to park city restaurants but the way the buses ran only every hour meant the if your meal out was either too fast or slow you were left standing in the cold waiting which was quite un relaxing .

I never write reviews. Ever. But after our experience at Montage Deer Valley, the especially thanks to Monique at Compass Sports. I felt truly compelled to share. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Every staff member, from the front desk to housekeeping, was not only professional but genuinely warm and positive. The valet team was excellent, and the front desk staff were an absolute delight. But the true highlight of our trip? Compass Sports. I’ve never seen a ski shop like this, not even at the most luxurious resorts in Europe. The level of care here is unmatched. They warm your boots, help you put them on and take them off, and hand you your skis right as you head to the slopes. The attention to detail and convenience is beyond five-star. And then… there’s Monique. She’s the reason I’m writing this. Monique is simply incredible. She made my son and me feel genuinely special every single day. She helped me switch skis for different conditions, checked in on us whenever she saw us, and went above and beyond in every possible way. At first, I felt awkward having her help with my boots…but she made it feel effortless. Her strength, kindness, and professionalism stood out. My son was always excited to stop by Compass Sports, not just for skiing, but because he wanted to see and chat with Monique. That’s the impact she made on our trip. It’s clear she loves what she does and takes pride in making guests feel truly seen and valued. Montage, you’ve got a gem in her. Montage Deer Valley isn’t just a resort…it’s an experience. From start to finish, the service was seamless, and the people who work here genuinely care.

A bit expensive, but isn’t everything these days? This is a huge property, and there is nothing you could want that this property doesn’t have. Ski in/Ski out, great service in Compass Sports, shuttles to/from Ski School (I was worried being so far from ski school would be highly inconvenient but the hotel makes this part so easy) and Park CIty, multiple restaurants, fabulous pool(s) and spa/gym facilities. Activities for families including on-site tubing and a neat arcade. Staff at reception and concierge (and really everywhere else - including and especially shuttle drivers) were always helpful and engaging. The rooms were comfortable and quiet (we were in a vista view king suite - we were told we were given a Virtuoso upgrade upon checkin but the room seemed to be exactly what we booked so not sure what the upgrade was, but still fabulous room either way). Wish there was a more simple lunch option at Apex (vs the large buffet) but that feels like a small comment compared to how well everything else functions. Hope to come back!

5 star service in every area!!! Have been coming for many years and will continue to do so. Best hotel in Deer Valley. Every request is answered and taken care of in a timely manner. The staff is top rate, they are friendly, efficient and get the job done.

This is an amazing hotel and highly recommended. Location is incredible, room quality, excellent, ski valet and boot service a great treat. Daly’s pub and bowling great. The spa — steam room, sauna, hot tubs, pool — are excellent and should NTI be missed. Elevation is high so may take you a day to adjust.
