Villa Toscana

We stayed here during a busy time with loud neighbors, so it was not the best experience and despite paying a good amount for parking, we had trouble finding a spot a couple times. The hotel however has great views (the higher the floor, the better - but only if you do not have to rely on the elevator) and it is in a great location to walk to shops and restaurants. We also were there on a rainy/snowy day. We had gone for a morning hike that left us chilled to the bone, but we warmed up in the resort’s lovely hot tub and sauna.

This hotel’s best feature is that it’s fairly close to restaurants and bars. It’s a very dated hotel in need of renovation and the price they charge is ridiculous. The faucet on the sink wasn’t properly secured and could be lifted off of the porcelain sink. Also, the shower handle was loose, and I felt it would fall off every time I turned it between hot and cold. The Internet was spotty at fast and I had to turn it off and use my cellular connection. Lastly, the lighting in the hotel room is inadequate.

Booked into the best room as it gives amazing views across the Sedona scenery and has an easy light real flame fire and balcony. Luxurious comfy bed and facilities. Lovely grounds running down to the river and the use of pool and gym facilities on adjacent complex. In the centre of town but quiet at night. Front desk particularly helpful. Treat yourself to a luxury stay.

On the plus side, location and views were great. Staff was friendly and helpful, with a special shout-out to the man who staffed the breakfast room. Room condition was very substandard. Lipstick on towels, tv didn't work until maintenance fixed it (2 rooms and both had this problem). Towels were the roughest I've ever encountered. Noise of hammering in the morning, slow-draining sinks, tubs and toilets, huge stains in carpet. The place needs a serious facelift. We paid almost $400. a night for the room, and I expect a higher standard of care for that.

We recently stayed 3 nights at the Best Western Plus Arroyo Roble hotel in a King room with a red rock view. The bed was comfortable, and we liked the complimentary dispensers with shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The room also had a couch, fridge, Keurig and microwave. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and each day they served scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, a different egg casserole and potatoes as well as a selection of breads, cereals, beverages and pastries. This hotel is right in town and close to many shops and restaurants. We highly recommend this hotel!
