The staff there are really friendly! They are glad to help as long as you have any needs. My friend and I took part in some water activities inside the hotel. They do care a lot about your safety and talked a lot about the nature/local cultures. Really fun! The dining experience was way better than expected. They do care a lot about your allergy/preference and tried their best to make the accommodation. Great thanks for that

Nothing, your hotel is boring, the beach is neglected, I paid 17 dollars for box of milk, at checkout you charged me 1000 dollars much more then the reservation, not value for money at all, I will never come back again , I paid 3500 dollars for 6 nights and I didn’t get anything, even for capuchino at breakfast you charged extra, 500 per night for nothing, such a boring place

Booked private car service through hotel concierge which was excellent. Service at this hotel was top notch in every way. WhatsApp used for all comms with hotel which made things seamless. You get your steps in at this place as it's built on a mountainside, but golf carts are always available on request. Nearby beach club is decent, but pool doesn't have umbrellas and requires a boat shuttle (open between 9:30a-4:00pm) or car shuttle. Food was great throughout, even for our 19 year old. Check out the Dive Bar at the nearby marina for an easy night away from the resort. Recommend the Aerial Adventure (book through concierge) and Nomad Tour company for volcano, waterfall, boat excursions. Rio Bhongo waiter Alexis was excellent!

The Andaz is a beautiful property! Within minutes of arriving, we were greeted with coconut waters and cool cloths that smelled divine! Loved seeing all the monkeys and having stunning views from our room. Enjoyed several services at the spa, and it is a must to visit! Very relaxing, and the therapists were great. The breakfast buffet was really good with fresh watermelon and orange juice. The pineapple is the best I have ever enjoyed! Everyone was so helpful at the resort. Be sure to download WhatsApp; you will need it to communicate with staff to ask for a golf cart, ice, etc. We used Gabriel from Nomad Tourscr They coordinated all our activities, and they did a great job. Very friendly, organized, and knowledgeable about what trips are best based on your interests. We chose to visit the rainforest to see sloths and toucans and did a hot springs and coffee tour. They coordinated everything, making it very easy with a single point of contact. Additionally, they provided airport tranfers round-trip The resort has plenty of fun things to do, or you can arrange activities using Nomad—all were very reasonably priced. I would go back in a heartbeat. What a trip! Fantastic people and a beautiful country!

Overall this resort did not live up to the 5 star experience we paid for and expected. The beach is difficult to access and the water was very cold. The pool water was also too cold and got a little boring. Everything is very expensive which was surprising. There is virtually nothing to do outside the resort, yet expensive tours are offered and turn out to be disappointing. There is no small shop with any basic over the counter medications, snack, or miscellaneous items. Room service charge $10 delivery fee no mater how much you order and then they tack on a service charge. Staff struggle to follow direction possibly due to a language barrier. We attended an event with a food buffet. Bugs were allowed to fall into the food trays and no provisions made to prevent it. The room was nice but we did not come all the way from Los Angeles to sit in the room. I did not enjoy the lack of privacy in the toilet and lack of ventilation. However the shower was great. It has potential but I won’t be coming back.
