The Mixology class with Christiany was great. Lot's of learning and great drinks. We were able to see capuchin monkeys too from the bar at Ostra! The vibes were great and guacamole with chips help keep us going. They may open up another spot on property before you visit, bust Ostra was great.

3-Night getaway to enjoy some drinks, food, and sun. Booked through Costco Travel . Responsive Guest Services team for pre-trip coordination via e-mail. Visiting in November (shoulder season transition from the rainy season), the odd were not in our favor and there was plenty of rain. First impression of the resort will impress. Nestled in the forest, the design integrates into the natural environment beautifully. Check-in was friendly and quick, provided a place to sit, a nice welcome drink, and immediate attention with no sense of "waiting around". As a reference for our experience, occupancy was approx. 80%. The resort is cliff-side and they have a fleet of carts and drivers to move the guests around. This was particularly important given the before mentioned rain. Further, getting from A to B can include some steep walkways and stairs. As my wife said, "Not high-heel friendly". We booked a "Full Bay View King". I was genuinely impressed by the room, in part because it was a rare example where the depiction on-line did not do it justice. Well designed, outfitted, and maintained. The view was remarkable but more of a "Partial Bay View" which I addressed with guest services only because of the price difference on booking. Management said the room was coded in the system as "full" but were happy to move us. We opted to stay in the room because "partial" makes for a cozy feeling of being embedded in the forest. The design of the terrace/balcony was a highlight. Truly a place you want to hang out. Fantastic staff across the board as to be expected at a resort like this. They deliver. Guest Services uses WhatApp and they are responsive. Beautiful pools (smaller adult pool and signifiant sized family pools). On the Adult side getting chairs was not easy unfortunately. Some evidence of folks "staking out chairs" a SERIOUS pet peeve of mine. On the family side clearly staffed to prevent that, but not on the adult side. The beaches you can walk to are pretty but may not be what you expect. they are bay facing and small. They have a remote beach, reachable by boat but we did not see it. Food and Drink were top notch. Ostra has a nice menu and pretty dining room. Food and service were good but still felt like a "resort restaurant". Rio Bhongo has a buffet breakfast that was very good with indoor and outdoor seating options. Chao Pescao was a highlight with tapas theme, hip dining room, and open kitchen. Two-nights a week they have live music but for our visit the musicians amp blew and they didn't have but a single set. This restaurant would do well as a "stand alone". We went there twice. At 80% occupancy reservations seemed necessary for dinner at Ostra and Chao Pescao. Drinks/cocktails throughout the resort were well thought-out, unique, and high quality. Two folks worth of extra mention were Christine, a server at Ostra, and Hans, a server at Chao Pescao. Andaz Costa Rica deserves the high praise and ratings. We look forward to returning.

This is an elegant hotel situated in the beautiful peninsula of Papagayo. We loved the architecture and how it fit with the beautiful surroundings, the quality of service, the food in all the restaurants was excellent too. The views of the bay are also incredible. If you’re looking for a resort this is not your place . The hotel has three very nice pools, but they’re not overly large. Also the beach is charming and secluded but not very large or directly accessible from the hotel. Top notch service. For airport transportation and activities we used nomadtourscostarica. We used him to go to the La Leona waterfalls and had a great hike and swim. Another day we had an all day excursion. We went to Rio Celeste waterfall, an organic coffee plantation with sloths and other wildlife, lunch over looking the mountain and swimming at the base o another waterfall. Both days we had our own van and personal guide. Both of them were very personable and we felt very safe with them. He was a good coordinator for the activities and communicated very efficiently. All around it was a great vacation. We are looking forward to returning and brining our teenage children next time. Pura Vida!!

They charged me in error and I am still in dispute. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Andaz. I had the all inclusive food package, which made things very easy. The room was modern with a fantastic view. The staff went above and beyond to make our group feel welcome. The location is a little secluded. If you prefer being a distance from the action, then you will like it here. After I checked out and confirmed charges, I was charged an additional amount. They said that housekeeping noted that I took things from the minibar. I did not. At present, this issue has not been resolved.

Everyone and everything at Andaz were great! One of the best hotel experiences of my life. The people, the food, the hospitality were top notch from beginning to end. The little details made everything for us, they always wanted to provide more and make our experience very enjoyable. All restaurants staff from rio bhongo and chao pescado were so nice to us, and shared all of their recommendations with us. Front desk staff was always smiling and attentive We booked some excursion with nomadtourscr, and the experience was incredible. Gabriel helped me organize a visit to a ranch that is only half an hour from the Andaz resort, He was always attentive to what we needed. we did horseback riding, ATVs, zipline. We also received a cultural tour where we learned how to make empanadas, another tour we did Rincon de la Vieja volcano hike,Every detail was perfectly organized, the guides were very professional. We enjoyed the activities and the scenery very much. I would definitely recommend Nomad and Andaz to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience."
