This was our first time at Gleneagles and even with high expectations, it didn't disappoint! Me and two friends from university were lucky enough to stay at the hotel and play the King's and Queen's Course. Our room in Braid House was large, very comfortable and had a fantastic view of the hotel grounds and the beautiful hills beyond. The bathroom was wonderful - shower, bath and twin sinks. We slept really well on very comfortable beds. Breakfast was indulgent! We challenged each other to name something for breakfast that wasn't on the buffet, and failed. My only feedback would be to have two chefs at the omelette preparation area as a slight queue tended to build. Dinner was taken in The Dormy, and we enjoyed a fantastic Indian platter. The head waiter (?) from Tunisia was so lovely and welcoming. We also enjoyed spoiling ourselves in the spa/leisure area. Thank you to all the staff. Keep up the good work- the staff ethos seems to be top notch.

Well, butter my biscuit and call me impressed! This joint's got style AND substance. Folks workin' here are sweeter than pie but sharp as tacks. Everything's spick and span, workin' like a charm. Y'all'd be plumb crazy not to give this place a whirl!

This place is a testament to the fact that luxury isn't just about opulence – it's about thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Every aspect of our experience was carefully considered and expertly executed. The staff struck the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us space to enjoy our time. It's clear that customer satisfaction is their top priority.

The minute we drove up the drive to Gleneagles I knew it was going to be wonderful. We booked five nights and we would have happily stayed much longer. Everything is perfect, everyone who worked there was kind and respectful and they all seemed very happy to be there. That is the sign of good management. We ate at each of the restaurants and they were all wonderful. Andrew Fairlie lives up to the two Michelin stars. Just fabulous. I wish we could have gotten a second reservation but I had to book it 3 months in advance, so it is worth planning ahead. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with extensive choices. The bars were amazing. The staff was great. The family tried falconry, played golf, went horseback riding, went shooting, and we had wonderful experiences every day. The hotel arranged a car and driver to take us to Loch Ness and through the Highlands. It was a long day but we really got a feel for that landscape. I would love to spend a week or two at Gleneagles every year. It really is a Glorious Playground.

Although we have been coming to Gleneagles for 37 years, I find I have never reviewed the hotel. Over that time it has seen a number of owners, the quality has always been high, but the atmosphere has at times been a little "corporate". Well I am delighted to report that under the Ennismore/Accor ownership, standards are higher than ever and they have achieved a great balance between the vital corporate business, acting as a staging post for upmarket tours and as a home for independent "locals" such as ourselves. We travelled with the family, partly to celebrate the arrival of our first grandson. All the vital in room "baby" equipment was listed before our arrival, and was in place in the family's room. In fact the same equipment was also supplied in ours, which we quickly had collected for fear it might create a babysitting opportunity ! We played two rounds of golf, utilised the spa, and all four restaurants. There was simply no fault to be found with anything. Perhaps a special word for the undermentioned Birnam Brasserie, which is such a great location for families. And of course the Indian options on the Dormy menu which are great. All the logistics were superbly handled. There really isn't anywhere like Gleneagles. If you are fortunate enough to be able to go, make sure you go. We'll be back next year.
