Following in the noble footsteps of England's Queen Mother and the Prince of Monaco, you are in the finest of company when you stay at the Hotel Brufani Palace. This symbol of exclusivity resides in the central Italian hillside town of Perugia, gazing across the sweeping beauty of the Tiber Valley. A member of Leading Small Hotels of the World, this elite property dates back to 1884, and its original parquet floors, great stone fireplaces and antique chandeliers recall the grandeur of the Belle Epoque.

Nice classic hotel although it is more a four star experience, which is ok considering the price is not too bad. The best with the hotel is the building and the location, everything else feels rather standard. Although admittedly minor things: no fresh orange juice at breakfast and any kind of omelet or freshly prepared dish is charged extra, indoor pool area is cool but very small so not so nice if other guests are there, shower pressure is really poor and the wifi is extremely slow. Nice decor and views from the rooms we stayed are some positives. Front desk were most helpful in booking restaurants. Make use of the parking valet service, parking in the area is difficult.

I cannot say enough about this perfect gem of a 5-star hotel in what feels like a historic palace/villa in the heart of charming Perugia. I've stayed in this hotel four times for work (twice alone and twice with family) and will be visiting for the fifth time next month. Every room is unique in its layout and furnishings and each has been excellent. I've stayed in everything from a sunny upper-floor single room with a lovely view over the hillside to a ground-level suite with its own sunken living room and lavish velvet curtains. The outdoor terrace has best view of Perugia. The breakfast is amazing -- a huge variety in a lovely big room. The service is incredible. One year, the staff helped my school-aged children when they missed the train back from Assisi, booking them a taxi by phone to pick them up and talking to the taxi driver to make sure they got back safely. The indoor pool in the basement is gorgeous. Yes, this has an old-word feel but all the furnishings, draperies and rugs are very well kept and newly upholstered so it feels 5-star and pristine, not at all worn-dorn. Can't recommend this place enough, you will love it!

Great hotel, super location, nice rooms, very good fitness and spa, unfortunately the bar was horrible because of the lack of good service and hospitality. If I returned to this hotel I would skip the bar, lounge and restaurant.

Stylish hotel, large and comfortable rooms. Any, (minor), issues swiftly and pleasantly dealt with. Very helpful and friendly staff. Perfectly located for local attractions and for excursions further afield.

Great hotel and staff Only problem we had was on the Saturday evening people were making a lot of noise in the passages and ringing the bell for our room at 11pm. The windows were also not sounds proof so could hear the cars on the road. But other than that recommend the hotel
