Same Place, New Experiences

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I hadn’t been back to this place in two years, so it felt great to return to a familiar spot. Honestly, I didn’t expect much since we’ve visited many times before. However, we noticed a significant improvement in service — from the doorman, reception, housekeepers, and waitstaff to the managers. They made us feel genuinely warm and welcomed. It was great in the past, but it’s even better now. I’m not sure what changes have been made, but the experience felt smooth, friendly, and professional. We were truly impressed, and every member of our group felt well taken care of by everyone we met. This hotel is massive — probably one of the largest you’ll find in Hua Hin. There are so many activities for families that it’s easy to keep everyone entertained during a 6-7 day stay in one place. We were looking for a comfortable destination for an extended stay, and this hotel’s spacious and open atmosphere was perfect. A highlight for my kids was the new goat-feeding activity. The goats are incredibly cute, and my kids kept going back to play with them every day. Unlike the goats you might encounter elsewhere, these were friendly and gentle, thanks to professional training. Nat, the lady in charge, shared so much information about how they raise and care for the goats, which explains why they’re so well-behaved. Thumbs up to this department — truly a job well done. My wife loved spending time on the beach, at the pool, and relaxing in the spa. Meanwhile, I enjoyed my time in the fitness center, playing basketball, squash, and tennis with friends and my kids. This is the only hotel I’ve stayed at that offers four tennis courts on-site! Afterward, I’d unwind in the sauna and the cold plunge pool. Once again, we had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The food was excellent, and although it was busy during the New Year period (as expected everywhere), they managed everything smoothly and efficiently. Lastly, the water station service stood out. Unlike other hotels where you need to purchase drinks, this hotel emphasizes sustainability by providing free drink stations throughout the property. They don’t use any plastic bottles and only use glass ones, which are used everywhere in the hotel. This place is highly recommended for families looking for a fantastic stay in Hua Hin.

Great property, a bit to improve the f&b details

the overall experience was great, but the wine selection was very poor in every outlet and there is a lack of healthy food options especially at the pool bar. However, the hotel is great and so the staff, and the organic farm experience was amazing. I also tried the SPA which is great

A long way from anywhere.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

It’s a nice place, beautiful pool, clean rooms, nice staff. My main issue is that it is miles from anywhere, there is literally nothing within walking distance. I am currently waiting in the lobby for a taxi into town but there are none available and no indication of when there will be. When they are available they are expensive by Thai standards. The beach is pretty average, but my standards are pretty high. Having travelled extensively in Thailand over many years I will say Hua Hin itself does not belong high on my list of recommended places to visit.

Excellent for quiet beach getaway

Had the most splendid time at Dusit Thani Hua Hin. The amenities, service levels, cleaniness, staff courtesy was just outstanding. There was enough to keep us occupied for 6 days we stayed here, from tennis, farm visits or simply lazing on the pool. The hotel has a private beach access, so it feels exclusive. Travelled with 3 year old child and was amazed at the list of activities to even keep the young ones engaged. The location is bit away from the hustle of the city, which suited us for a quiet getaway. Would love to return some day. Thankyou !
