The luxury of a five-star hotel, the access of a premier location, the convenience of high tech amenities, and the comfort of a home away from home - AKA Rittenhouse Square brings everything together in one impeccably designed building sitting proudly on what may be Philadelphia's most bustling corner, 18th & Walnut. Respectfully transformed with stylish, up-to-the-minute interiors that still preserve the building's magnificent historic facade, AKA's extended-stay building is at the heart of this city known as the "Birthplace of America". With sleek lines and stylishly contemporary decors, each spacious apartment provides all of the comforts of home, along with the service and amenities of a luxury hotel - for best of both worlds.

Hotel Aka Rittenhouse Square had AMAZING service. At check-in, we received complimentary drink coupons for the AKA bar. The doorman offered me a water in the lobby and was the nicest man. An employee named Bianca left the sweetest note left in my room that was so personal and up-lifting. The service and cleanliness was five stars. I highly recommend! It was truly one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

If this review was just for the staff, it would be 5 stars. Location is great, right off Rittenhouse Square. WISTER at the front-desk was super friendly, helpful and responsive. Everything you could ask for, as far as customer service. Other front desk staff were lovely as well. Unfortunately, the accommodations fell short. The rooms are run down, did not feel clean and just had no character or warmth to them whatsoever. When I was video chatting with a friend, she said "why is your hotel room so sad looking?". Be careful when booking a studio room, as your restroom will be the same size as one you'd find on an airplane. I'm in Philly a decent amount for work and was hoping to find a new staple hotel. Unfortunately, I will not return to this one.

Hotel AKA Rittenhouse was the perfect place to stay in Philadelphia. When they heard we were visiting from Asheville NC for our anniversary post-Hurricane Helene, the staff upgraded us to a penthouse suite with a view of beautiful Rittenhouse Square. It was the most gorgeous hotel suite I’ve ever stayed in—spacious, stylish, the epitome of comfort. It could not have been more perfect. What made our stay beyond exceptional was the fantastic care by the staff. Juliet at the front desk and Bianca the front office manager went above and beyond. From the upgrade to a penthouse suite to a complimentary bottle of organic wine the night we arrived with a thoughtful handwritten card… they went out of their way to make our stay perfect every day. I deeply appreciate how attentive Juliet and Bianca were to our needs. This is the hotel we will return to year after year when visiting Philadelphia, which is our anniversary tradition. This is the best hotel in Philly and we can’t wait to come back.

We traveled to Philadelphia in October of 2024, post-Hurricane Helene. We were greeted and welcomed warmly by all staff of the AKA Rittenhouse. Juliet and Bianca, specifically, went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. Upon learning that we were visiting from Helene ravaged Asheville, as well as celebrating our anniversary, the staff of AKA Rittenhouse made sure our room was chosen to prioritize our comfort and rest. We were placed on the top floor, away from noise, etc. We enjoyed a complimentary bottle of organic wine for our anniversary, which was most welcomed. Thank you again to Juliet and Bianca. AKA Rittenhouse is a fantastic place to stay both for comfort as well as a prime location in Philly. We will make this our go-to stay each time we visit Philly. HIGHLY recommended.

I have stayed at the AKA Hotel RIttenhouse Square several times over the past 4-5 years. It has become my 'go to' hotel in Philadelphia. From the moment, I walk into the intimate lobby, the staff at the front desk make you feel at home. Wister, in particular, is one of the friendliest and kindest individuals I have met at any hotel. And when I need to make changes or have specific requests, Tony, the Director of Operations, and other staff members are extremely helpful. In other words, every one at AKA tries to make your stay as peaceful and lovely as possible. If you want a home away from home with more of an apt feel and a full kitchen, you can select from a studio all the way up to a 2 bedroom (perhaps even larger). The hotel looks over Rittenhouse Square which is the premiere spot in Philadelphia; and it is surrounded by several excellent restaurants and shops. For my needs, this is the best hotel in Philadelphial.
