This hotel is quaint and beautiful. The landscaping is superb with several pools and fountains. Staff was very helpful and the rooms are charming. Food is outstanding and the ambience in the dining room is so inviting.

We came here for a one night staycation, and we would have been better off staying at home. For starters, the person who checked us in did not offer any help with our luggage when walking us to our room. Once we got settled into the room, we were unimpressed by the condition– the room was clearly tired and in desperate need of renovation. This applies to the hotel grounds too – the use of fake grass in some of the common areas really made the hotel feel less premium than the price suggests. As we were preparing to go to sleep, we noticed a lot of bugs crawling in the bed. We called the front desk, and they were able to give us another room after we waited for an hour. The room that they moved us to had a queen bed, rather than the king bed we had originally booked. The bed was uncomfortable, and we did not sleep well. The hotel gave us $100 off the room rate, but we do not feel like that is adequate compensation for what we went through. Upon checkout, the valet did not help us load our luggage into the car.

My husband and I did a staycation to celebrate my birthday. Barbara, the resident historian, was beyond wonderful. She has a birthday card and macaroons delivered to our room. The immaculate property has such a rich history and we thoroughly enjoyed walking around and exploring all of its gems and hidden nooks. Dinner at T Cooks was incredible. We can't wait to go back!

A gem in the desert. A former estate home of an industrialist from New York over a century ago that was developed into a boutique resort & spa. The development was done so in a way that closely reflects the design aesthetic of the original estate. The staff is consistently professional, warm, and welcoming. They seem to work well as a team so there is a sense of good morale. Many, if not most, of the staff have been there for many years. The rooms are clean and the property kept neat with refreshing touches made here and there every year. Restaurant T. Cook’s is consistent with their delicious cuisine and the service which is attentive and cheerful. The spa is delightful. This is a special place that is one of understated, quiet elegance that guests of all ages can enjoy.

We were here for a wedding. We'd last been here for vacation in 2019. This hotel is not cheap, you knew that. When it's the Royal Palms, you'd expect something special, not anymore. - We arrived at 4PM and were told our room wasn't available. - Our first morning, we showed up for breakfast and were told, we only have 3 staff, we can't sit you for 20 minutes. The rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. I hate leaving a bad review, but at $800 a night? You can find at least 10 other options in Phoenix (e.g. the Phoenician, Hermosa Inn, Camelback Inn — to get you started).

We booked the 4-night package on Luxury Link and it was well worth it. The package was an amazing value! My wife and I spent four days there and wish we could have spent a few more. The food at T. Cook's was the best I have had in a while. The menu also offered a local-products-only meal, which was terrific. The spa was very nice and we fully enjoyed each of our treatments. The rest of the time was spent laying by the pool, shopping in the Scottsdale mall, and playing golf. I would recommend Royal Palms Resort and Spa to any and all.
